Brings tears to my eyes....... My husband has left me, one reason was my faith, and my counting on God. Although I thought just that was what led us together, our faith. But he lost his faith and started resenting my believing a lot, he also resented the strength and the peace the Lord gave me, then he began drinking again, and since he is physically dangerous while drunk I asked for a break, so he could get sober. He got so angry that he filed for divorce. Even months later he felt the same way. It is so heart breaking. Listening to John brings tears because, well right now all I want to do is serve God, but I guess deep inside I wish from the heart to have a man who loves me and would speak of me like he speaks of his wife. It is so beautiful and precious. Praise God there are people like this, a shining light for us, giving us hope.
I T Do not feel alone in this, sister. While the actions of reprobates and unbelievers hurt us, rest assured that the Lord is displeased with them although He is patient enough for them to come back home. Our Lord Jesus Christ is by your side and He is very clear in the scriptures that He has come with a sword, to segregate believers from unbelievers, and that members of one’s family would be his/her own enemies. Trust in God’s plan for your life and keep Him your only priority in life. You may never know, the Lord may turn your husband’s heart as and when He wills. Remember the parable of the prodigal son. I pray that the Lord gives you strength, perseverance, and courage to withstand the tough times.
