I hope you enjoyed this quick trip to Ganghwa Island here in Incheon, Korea! Everything you saw today was 100% vegan, and delicious! (though i probably wont eat that black mushroom thing again lol) This area is easy to get to and is filled with gorgeous places to just take a break and look out over the sea or mountains :') There are tons of guesthouses too so try to stay overnight to get the full benefit hehe Sending love always!

Your uploads are always a reminder that it’s bedtime for me, lol. I love all of the autumnal colours, they make me sad that Germany has officially hit its winter weather of grey skies and drizzle. 14:30 reminded me of how I (apparently) got my middle name: when my mum was pregnant with me she wanted to smell every flower/food etc, and asked people ‘kann ich mal riechen?” (‘Can I smell that?’ In German) and ‘mal riechen’ became ‘Mariechen’ which is the affectionate form of ‘Marie’.

Man that mushroom meal looked interesting, not even a big mushroom guy but i’d definitely be down to try that meal. Love the Incheon vlogs, feels like a nice relaxing retreat from the chaos of Seoul whether for vacation or even to live…and Seoul’s always just a hop and a skip away:)

Lovely Sunday morning treat: a short trip to Korea with Cari. Enjoyed from the comfort of my bed. (Although I would much prefer coming along in person!) How cute was that taxi driver! That second café seemed so cosy and wow, that view. So nice. And cool tea glasses!

What a beautiful and calming day trip! Even in a mostly dreary month like November it was soooo lovely and inviting, I was really surprised. That mushroom dish looked kind of scary but very intriguing ngl. And the views in the cafes!
In 2018 I worked in Incheon for a while and your recent videos really make me feel nostalgic (and also show me how much I missed!)...I don't know when I can come back to Korea but I would love to follow your recommendations and visit all these lovely places.
How do you find a taxi driver for a day, can you just approach them and ask them or did you arrange for that in advance? He was such a kind and sweet soul, I'm glad you met him!

The meal was definitely a little intimidating haha! And my friend reserved the taxi ahead of time - ganghwa has a “ganghwa tourist taxi” that specializes in that kind of all-day thing :)

People don't realize how hearty mushrooms can be and with so much variety you can make really interesting meals. I guess the translation of the lion's mane mushroom has to do with a deer's tail being white and cottony, but "deer butt" is close enough lol. This was a nice little escape from the city !
