Sounds like me as well. Many comments here reflect that you, Pastor Rick, had this same kind of childhood. Your father preceded you and gave you a bad reputation, my older brother preceded me and gave me the bad reputation. I hated fishing, baseball, football and all sports as well. I liked going into the woods and pretend I was acting in a movie. I've heard you tell me about your "stupid" experience, and I cannot get tired of hearing it because it's so poignant. You are definitely not stupid. I've listened to many of your sermons, read a few of your books, and I think you're one of the best pastors out there. God bless you. He's already blessed me by having me stumble into you. BTW I would've gone to the concert and the museum with you.

High school in Derby, KS, now has children pick advanced placement tracks to pick their future. I told my granddaughter to take some classes outside of her medical track. She found she likes accounting more. The devil is rampant in public schools.

As a union electrician I think there’s a huge misconception about trade school and the trades. It’s not the lesser option than convention university. It’s often the better option as it relates to career success & income potential.

You transform your thinking to the word of God and it will change the thoughts you think about yourself and it will change your life! God will not do that for you! You must take time out daily to spend time to learn the scriptures so every time Satan comes to your thoughts you cast them down with the word of God . It will change your life! How do I know? I did it!!! And it works!!

Then I thought, what's the greatest thing I could do to change future generations. Be in a children's ministry! Teach them the thoughts of God about themselves!!!!!

I teach Children's Ministry also and plan to show this to the kids. I, too, spent so much of my childhood being bombarded by the enemy's attempts to saturate my mind with being lonely and different, etc. It wasn't until I was 31 years old that everything came to a head, and thankfully, my sister was born again and encouraged me to study God's Word and to endure in the Faith. The LORD was so faithful to deliver me. His Word is truly the key. Also, Mr. Renner's willingness to be honest about his battles is a breath of fresh air. That's the kind of testimony that has the power -through Christ- to set the captives free. Blessings to this man in Christ Jesus.

Thank you for sharing this message with us. I was awake just last night till after 2am struggling with thoughts and fears that I knew weren't of God. I finally just got up and prayed in the Spirit, while yawning. Sometimes I don't always know what to say, but I know the Spirit does and I know God's Word works miracles and this verse was exactly what I thought of while praying, even though I didn't know where to find it. This message was a gift from God today, something I truly needed to hear. Also, I'm so sorry that happened to you as a child. I was stunned at how that teacher treated you. But praise God you saw the light and you now know who you are. I love listening to you Daily Devotionals and your daily messages on your channel. I graduated and then failed university; hanging my head looking at the ground I found and preserved four leaf clovers; love nature; those four-leaf clovers gave me an appreciation for the wonder of Our Creator, the Lord God. I shed a tear for you and me today.

This is my first time listening to Ruck Renner and I like what he is saying so far,and I can testify to being in school and the devil trying to tell me for many years that I was stupid. And I even had teachers make fun of me when I was in elementary so that effected my thinking for many many years until I allowed the LORD in and break down those strong holds on my life..now I am a part of a Bible believing ministry and thank Jesus for what He has done for me..

Your mind is the most important part of transforming you either for God or devil. Your identity with christ is the foundation for transformation. No amount of prayer or laying on of hands can do this. Renewal of mind takes place by the acknowledging of who we are in Christ.

Been going through a similar assault on the mind for two years now but it all started shortly after I turned 25. I couldn’t imagine being attacked like this a ninth grader. God bless you pastor.

Wow, this touched my heart! I was just like you Rick Renner! So different! I was even taken to a psychiatrist by my mom, in Europe, and they said I had a very high IQ and was alright...ö but it was not accepted and life was torture, my childhood. But GOD, HE healed me and now I am working in Asia in missions, thank GOD HE had a purpose for this little hurting girl.....still feel that loneliness that you mentioned, and it hurts,but also reminds me of where HE brought me from. My 7th grade teacher that I learned yrs later , as an adult was a Holiness Christian, told our class" If you're slow now you'll always be slow!" I struggled with math and nobody at home to help me so imagine being dependent at 13, no emotional or love type support and having to go to a school where a teacher is saying" It's no use!" I saw this lady yes and yes later in an ice cream shop in line and she never knew she was THAT kind of teacher..
Many years I've felt this way - something wrong with me. But God has changed me 😊

I stumbled across this message today at exactly the right time. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit a couple of months ago and am still fighting the battle. There are 2 or 3 good days, which are followed by days of battling this oppression! Our Pastors have laid hands and cast out evil powers, stating they fought to stay. The devil continues to fight, as I seek God’s calling on my life. After 58 years of this, I’ve become so angry inside and I know it’s holding me back. I’ve repeatedly booted Satan out in the name of Jesus and the devil will not give up! I so want to find God’s purpose for having me here in this time and move forward to help the broken before it’s too late for them, as I know how serious and dark this becomes. I am so thankful for your message today. I am so thankful that you have overcome this and have been able to share your testimony and give hope to those going through this battle. Thank you for your dedication to God and determination to save those who keep fighting and are at the point of feeling there’s no hope. Oh my gosh, such a powerful message.. thank you for the prayer at the end...lots of tears 😢😢😢😥😥😥. I can so relate to Ricks story that really encouraged me.
Only this morning God gave me 2 scriptures that, when l hear this message it's a wow God moment of conformation.
Romans 13.12 talks about casting off the works of darkness, and put on the armour of "light"....God's is truth, his word is truth & God is light because he is truth (pure).....when we speak God's truth we speak His light into a situation....that's what l got so far...NB also darkness has a work, an employment & occupation, we are to cast that off with the armour of light (truth). Just like the sword illustration Rick was saying..
The other scripture was Romans 12.2 not being conformed to this world, but being transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
The encouragement to not give up, but keep in the word and as you replace the "works of evil" with the truth .. the light...of Gods word...you will see the lies and deception clearer and deal with it...knowing the light (truth) of God is the sword pushing back the darkness of our enemy..
