      I have done a 36 hour fast, it was difficult but I did it, felt better for sure. I normally do a 16/8, 18/6, or 20/4, and I typically do not eat breakfast.
      Fasting has a lot of benefits, but for us women, I think anything from 16-20 hours is good, and not everyday. Clean eating, walking and minimize stress is the key in my opinion 😊

      @@Debbie_Xair yes I get it but 72 hours? cant see the benefit. Best to just exercise , eat moderately , keep a healthy diet and maybe not eat anything after dinner until the next morning.

    Something that might interest you is that the mum pouch is not quite fat, it might be worth looking into getting the muscles in the abdomen ‘healed’ as the muscles and organs moved around during pregnancy. This allows for that part of our body ‘tightening’ up again ☺️

    So much pressure on yourself, it’s extreme. You are ok, you really didn’t need to, specially you have a daughter to look after. 10,000 steps a day is more healthy way ❤❤❤❤

      I do roughly around 20k steps a day, yeah it's healthy but it's not cleaning out your body at a cellular level x

    • @DebraGruber-hk7xl
      @DebraGruber-hk7xl 2 месяца назад

      @@JuiceFastCoach omg what a load of rubbish you are speaking. Fasting does not clean out cells on any cellular level. I suggest you and the influencer look up the causes and effects of hyponatremia. Not eating and just drinking is bloody dangerous.Let me explain, when the body takes in huge amounts of water to fill up the stomach (yes thats a trick that anorexics do) without adequate salt intake (the influencer does say she has some salt water but fails to explain why or how much so anybody copying this foolish starvation nonsense would not understand nor would they know how much salt intake they needed to prevent hyponatremia), the kidneys can no longer produce urine, the result is that the excess water crossed the blood brain barrier causing swelling of the brain (encephalitis). This is absolutely life threatening. I dont expect you to understand this but its incomprehensible why a dentist with scientific training and presumably has studied basic physiology would have used this for clickbait , likes.

    Wow Isabelle what grit to do 3 days! I don't think I could make it! I've done 24 hours but not more than that and it felt good. I could maybe do the 20/4 at most and adjusting back to a more regular diet was tough on my gut. But I do think that taste buds do adjust to your diet. I think it's more about consistency day to day. There was a few years I was off sugar, carbs and dairy...it worked but it backfired once I started having them again...the body is smart and will adjust so overall I think it's just long term journey of consistency !! I think regular exercise coupled with strict diets are sustainable long term. Diets are tough as body will readjust to the new diet and metabolism drops...ugh never easy!

    This was very impressive to watch. One thing for me if I don't eat I cannot sleep at all. You are blessed you don't have that issue. I always eat at least a very light snack 1-2 hrs before bedtime. Also if I don't eat I get headaches and get irritable.

    I have to say this is definite mental toughness. I see some negative comments and I will make the disclaimer that Isabelle is a dentist. She has a way higher health literacy than most of the population. If you have diabetes, are breastfeeding, or are currently pregnant you cannot do this fast. My question is if this would help the body get to a new reset point because your body usually makes a set point plus or minus five pounds your current weight and it’s so hard to get to a lower set point. Curious about your progression ❤

    OMGOODNESS, look at you sharing this experience.... AMAZING VIDEO.
    Oh yes, I loveLoveLOVE Intermittent and Long Term fasting. The results are wonderful. I recommend Food Prepping when you fast. This way you won't be as tempted to sample.
    1. Meal Prep - to avoid sampling foods or drinks
    2. Electrolytes - little salt with water
    3. Break Fast - I break with a homemade rich Broth (fat & protein - simmered bones/cartilage/vegetables etc).
    4. EXTENDING Long Term Fast - Eggs Avocado etc.
    5. TAPE MEASUREMENTS - for me, it's a more honest comparison
    I'm not an expert with this, but I would say the carbs caused the increase in weight and inflammation you experienced.
    6. 📌GLUCOSE MONITOR - invest in a Monitor to ensure your blood levels don't drop too low. THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS!
    ISABELLE - you look Stunning and feel free to incorrect these helpful health videos with us. HUGE THANKS! 💛✨️

    I adore your content however this video is so misleading. No weight loss is worth starvation, and let’s be clear this is what is happening here. It sends a very damaging message to your followers, some who will be much younger than you on how to lose weight quickly by starving yourself. Not cool, I thought you were a little smarter than this.

    • @LifebyLori

      Despite your comment on her being "smarter", she is incredibly intelligent. She literally did a 3 day fast which is NOT starvation. Please educate yourself with the medical journals and science on this topic. Depending on the person, the body can go for a month without food before it reaches starvation mode. After her fast, she transitioned into a 5-day fasting-mimicking diet which again is completely safe. Look into the work by Valter Longo, PhD.

    Let’s all just be very clear here. Fasting, although occasionally beneficial for specific reasons, is another unhealthy diet trend that is not only unhelpful but has absolutely no effect on long term weight loss. I can appreciate the value in certain fasts/cleanses as they often have the effect of jump starting good habits and setting an intention for a new way of eating, but fasting can be very dangerous and as many people already know- in order to gain any long standing weight loss and health benefits, one needs to make healthy, balanced lifestyle changes.

    • @DebraGruber-hk7xl
      @DebraGruber-hk7xl 2 месяца назад +9

      so agree. She was a perfectly normal weight before and looked lovely. I think this preoccupation with fasting, losing weight and daily weigh ins is so unhealthy. Normal moderate eating of healthy food and exercise is the long term answer to staying at a normal weight. All this fasting nonsense does is promote anorexia. After seeing my sister struggle with anorexia for years because some idiot told her she was chubby after she gave birth to her second child, I am so against this kind of unhealthy nonsense promoted by influencers who're totally unaware of the havoc they potentially can wreak in impressionable young women. Frankly if influencers wish to starve themselves by all means do so just let them keep it to themselves.

    • @themitchells7570

      Incorrect. Fasting triggers autophagy after about 24 - 48 hours and is associated with an abundance of incredible health benefits that we just dont tap into because of our western diet, such as lower LIFETIME cancer risk, lower cortisol, reduces metabolic stress, higher energy, fat loss, elimates damaged cells including skin cells, reduction of tumour size, reduced inflammation, longevity, etc... It has also been an incredibly effective tool in naturally treating neurodegenerative diseases like epilepsy, particularly in children resistant to epilepsy medication.
      Fasting is used around the world for health, religious and social reasons and has an extensive history which validates the idea that eating constantly is devastating for our health.
      So, let's be very clear here - comments like yours on posts like this, particularly when you are uneducated about the topic and the content creator obviously is, are not helpful.

      This is so bs tho. It’s clear you have no clue what you are talking about and are just speaking on emotions. It’s proven that fasting has many benefits. It’s not some made up thing. Obviously people overdo it and it can become bad but don’t completely demonize it. Cuz it does have benefits.
