Thanks so much for putting this out. I've wanted to venture into sweaters and lighter tops for myself, but I thought I had to avoid acrylic, so I purchased a bunch of wool. Most is superwash because I wholeheartedly agree that "can it be washed?" is a major consideration, but I have purchased some regular wool that will require hand washing as well. I hope I don't hate it! TBD. Anyway, I feel like I have permission to use acrylic now without fear that I'll be making something that doesn't look nice enough to wear. Thanks again!

Love these wonderful tips on which yarns are good for clothing projects. I've pretty much operated on what I could afford since I began crocheting and your tips reassure me that I have made some very wise choices. THANKS!

I am making my first ever garment...a 4xlt cardigan as a gift. They live in a cooler climate. My head is spinning when it comes to picking the right yarn.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!☺

As you was getting closer to number one, I was thinking “she hasn’t mentioned comfy yet” 😂 Comfy is my go to when it comes to the website to purchase it from. I love it! I have used it for many summer and winter makes. Mostly in the size one yarn, but worsted I have as well. Thanks for this video! I am saving it for future use.

Love your choices! Unfortunately, can't use Hawthorne or Stroll because I'm super allergic to wool. Will have to try the Comfy though. Thanks, I have been really getting into the thinner yarns lately and the right yarn totally makes or breaks the project,

Will the combo shrink in the wash? Since cotton tends to shrink after washing

I’m just starting out making garments. I prefer 3 weight, haven’t tried finer yet. Problem is most patterns call for 4 weight yarn. Can a pattern be done in a finer yarn? How if so? Thanks for the great video

There are many patterns that call for thinner yarns than 4! I have several roundups on my blog for DK, Sport, and Fingering weights! I suggest checking those out: www.twobrothersblankets.com/category/roundups/ If you're trying to use a finer yarn for a pattern that calls for a worsted, you'll likely have trouble meeting gauge.

I want to crochet a summer dress, but it calls for worsted Red Heart (yuck)...I'm afraid to use a cotton due to the weight and shrinking. It will take approximately 1500 yards. I know, you love the Comfy, but that is such a tiny skein of yarn. Acrylic doesn't wick sweat on a hot day. What yarn do you think would be best for a summer dress?
