OH MY GOD I FINALLY FOUND A RECIPE THAT DOESN'T ASK FOR THERMOMETERS TO BE USED I know it is important to know the temperature when working with melted sugar but as someone who wouldn't even be using it all the time, having someone just teach me the telltale signs that the cooking is done is such a godsend
Also with candy you can typically check the consistency by taking out a small drip and letting it cool. If you have a cold plate or the like, it’ll cool faster (you can even put it on top of ice to make it extra cold). For a lot of candy that’ll let you judge the consistency, so whether it’s done, without a thermometer
Finally someone who made crystal candy that doesn't break ur teeth and are not that hard asf that they don't even break when they fall to the ground THIS IS REAL COOKING ❤
