Our patient had cerebral hemorrhage due to high blood pressure. The confusion due to the stroke he had had at first was too much. Because there are edemas in brain hemorrhages, such confusions can occur. Managing these processes is very important. When Axis came to our inpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation institution, we struggled with this confusion for the first 15 days. Our patient was not yet aware that he had a stroke. He wanted to go home and reach his cats as soon as possible.
Then, as the edema and bleeding in the brain receded, he realized that he was in the inpatient physical therapy institution and started to respond to the treatment as soon as possible. Our patient tried to do his best and responded to the rehabilitation process we had done in a short time. He received daily physical therapy and rehabilitation for about 4 hours in our institution. First, we worked on gaining standing balance. We did many physical therapy practices such as walking with a cane, walking on a long parallel bar, standing bench, and exercises with a bicycle. As a result of the applications we made, the confusion completely disappeared. He regained his balance and was able to walk with his cane. We discharged our patient happily. He shared this process with us. We thank him and wish him a healthy and happy life.
