Indeed, there's far too many nepo babies with high paying jobs bankrolled by the tax payer and it isn't just in the public sector either. I've worked in the waste industry and it is no different here, these are private firms but how much do you think it costs for your local authority to dump your waste on them?
Exactly! That's your council tax money being used to give the head of logistics daughter a 75k non job, the area managers best friend a 120k non job, the head of the local household waste centers husband to be given a job then fast tracked to management over everyone else who has actually worked in the hopes of a promotion. This is just one example on a small site in a backwater Lancashire town as well.
Look around you, the rot is everywhere and Clarkson was right to say that we should go around all the offices firing people if we don't understand what their jobs are, it is a disgrace. It's no wonder people in Britain don't want to work.

I've paid taxes all my life into the 'system'. Tooth ache and it's nearly impossible to receive treatment through the NHS. Whilst an illegal immigrant, having contributed zilch into the 'system' receives the treatment immediately, completely free. The system is broken and corrupt. We need a non-compromising, far-right government, to sort out the numerous problems. Labour will achieve nothing positive and make the situation worse. The red Tories were nearly as bad.

I don't know what country you are from, but from your post I can see that you don't know how the UK government is formed. but just to be very clear, the UK government isn't elected, it is appointed. you see the way it works in the UK is we elect people to represent us, and all those representatives elect one amongst them to be the PM, the PM then appoints who is going to be in government. while the person who are our representatives normally vote for is their party leader, it technically doesn't have to be. MP's can vote for any member to be the PM. it is then the PM's job to form a government, they do this by appointment. and yes they can appoint any MP but they tend to appoint members of the same party.
so yes I too find it laughable that people think that the UK government is elected, or that the "Elected" government runs anything, you know with it not being elected at all.

Yesterday I celebrated my 76th birthday. I tell you that because since the age of being able to vote I have always taken an interest in politics. I've seen them come and I've seen them go in my time. But I have NEVER seen such a government led by such a man as this current one! It seems that this latest PM cannot cope with any kind of criticism, which says to me that he is either too arrogant or too irresponsible to be in office. If he is so sure that his government is the one our people wants - and the rest of us are merely discontented revenge seeking trouble makers - then there is one sure way he can prove it....namely CALL A GENERAL ELECTION without delay. I will not listen to his 'brain washing' rhetoric or excuses.

@@Mallchad They think that by hiring tens of thousands more of council planners, building projects will develop faster. They can hire hundred thousand more but if there is no way to measure their work, it is no use. An officer I am assigned to did an AWOL for 8 months, after texting and calling umpteen times, I gave up and filed a complaint. I got my certificate in 2 weeks. They used technical issues in their system as excuse for the 'delay'. The officer continues to get paid her salary doing nothing.

Don’t exactly know where your from but the south has been hit hard by this more than the north but even then you have people up here walking around mostly blacks who can’t speak English. You know they haven’t got a job lined up

A petition should be started to make MPs accountable for their lies & to give direct answers to direct questions. If I lied in court I would be held accountable, why do they get a free pass to say whatever they want with no consequences, especially as they are supposed to be representing the British public. It's shameful how corrupt the government is.

Well said if only more people actually said this and demand it those in high position how can society succeed if it built on lie, corruption, misleading and fake promises. Information is hidden and an act of deceit is put on by politicians and those in powerful position. Peter lynch was right he had it state on his placard the decent society is with decent people and leaders which we don't have the youth or the old have no chance the rotten politicians have ruined it all.

you *can* lie in court and NOTHING will happen to you, at all - and be as blatant as you like - even let the police see you lie and abuse a child in front of them - so long as you're a woman and it's a family court, of course. Been there. The shame of Britain!
