2024 Fall/Winter Charity Whiskey Raffle

Each raffle ticket costs $10, and all proceeds will be donated to charity (Saint Jude). Square will deduct a small processing fee, but the rest of the money will go to the charity chosen by The Whiskey Cove Community. (.59 cents/$10 card fee to square). We use square to make it secure for everyone and to list and assign order numbers that correlate to the drawing number.
Kindly purchase entries individually.
The winners will be selected during a live Whiskey Cove event (November 22 @7pm Mountain Standard Time. Please check RUclips as we get closer to the date for the Live link) and will be drawn for the next available bottle.
Thank you for supporting this fundraising event. I'll post a video after the event to show the total amount raised and its specific sources with pictures and confirmations.
Additionally, all money earned from RUclips during the month of November, including video ad revenue and any in-video sponsors, I will be adding to the charity event. In support of this cause, I will be taking 30 days of sobriety from October 20-November 20th.

"The blind tells all" FACTS
One caveat is that Weller single barrel beat that particular WSR in this blind. It’s possible that other WSR picks could indeed beat it in a head to head.

Special Reserve hit me as Apple juice on first crack…it’s pretty mellow and flat after being on the shelf a while. I won’t bother with a single barrel. Now 107…keeping a back-up at all times
107 is the way to go that’s better than both of these. Weller SR keeps getting worse every time I go back. Thanks for watching!
Shocking seeing the color difference between the bottles. The Special Reserve actually has a darker color to it.
I was hoping the special reserve would blow it out of the park. I was very wrong in the end.
I'd like for you to compare a regular offering vs. a store pick and how much of a premium it is usually worth. I am hesitant to pull the trigger for a store pick of a whiskey I really like because the store pick is 45% more expensive.
Off my own experience I would say with my store pick and my Weller sr regular. there’s no significant quality difference.
Both bottles probably underwhelming that said I’ve not tried any of them. Just regular special reserve.

Oh man this brings me back. I remember your pure disappointment when you first opened the single barrel orange label! I’m glad you seem to like it more now, but to your point, is it really THAT much better? Another note, for blind taste tests, have you heard of triangle tests? It’s where you fill 2 glasses with A, and one with B. The goal is to pick out which glass has B in it. It can help to remove some bias because in these 1:1 taste tests your brain is looking for differences straight away and could be susceptible to placebo. Just a thought! Good video as always Patrick
I have not heard of the triangle test. Do you know who invented it as I’d love to try this in a video and give credit. I can see how it could be beneficial.

Did a little looking online and it actually seems to be a fairly common practice in professional industry, just hasn’t really made its way to whiskey RUclips that I’ve seen.

Keep trying WSR and it's just not that good. MM and Larceny SB kill it in blinds for me.
It’s a little flat but I guess it’s $25 msrp so it probably is inline with the price. I do like larceny single barrel picks. I had one a few years ago and it was so good I can’t even explain just how good it was as a larceny pick.
