Im in a suburb about 45 min. Outside of chicago, we see large harley groups all the time. There is a group that meets up at our local gas station, and before they head out you can barely get in the gas station because there are any where from 50 to 150 of em waiting to head out
My dad is like this. Hes almost 60 and still finds it hilarious to have a straight pipe just to make as much noise as possible, loves it when everyone is staring at him. He does it with cars too, I always hated it. You go deaf yourself riding in those too

And yes I live in the mountains and there are a lot of little Resort towns around and the douchebags with the straight pipes show up all the time Hitting off the rev limiter when there's no reason to just being obnoxious. I needed this episode today. Driving home had one ass biker stop and pull in front of me at 55. Locked my breaks not hit him then he flips me off… this are some real shitz non bikes out there that only think of themself.
whenever the weather is nice there's ~1-3 groups per day ~20-30 people large, it legitimately takes ~5 minutes straight of roaring engine noise for them to go by, I honestly don't mind that much, as I bet it really must feel good, and the weather can be really nice, but it is very jarring if you're just outside relaxing, I've got a large yard and often hear/see all kinds of birds/squirrels/chipmunks and whatnot, and you really do just hear exceptionally loud roaring all of a sudden that lasts multiple minutes, but they leave as quickly as they show up so I don't really care, but it definitely does happen alot near me, kinda a suburb/small town, kinda near a few mid-size cities but definitely away enough that it's pretty dense forest, it is very noticeable when they go by, in a whole line for minutes at a time.
I've seen and heard these Harley type groups IRL, even where even in the middle of the city in LA where I'm from and live, and I've lived up in Oakland and went to college in Colorado where'd they do the same. It's universal and this episode nailed it. The bikes are purposely loud, obnoxious, and stupid whether alone or part of a group cacophony of collective retardation, and nobody likes it except them. The whole premise of the episode of them fronting as tough guys but still craving constant attention from the general public minding their own business is absolute facts.

The noise coming from a motorcycle can be limited by the exhaust. Making the noise themselves with their mouths was what put it over the top.
