@koby mmm Awww that's such a nice thing to say. This song is a memory of my teenage days back in 2006-2007..I wish I liked this song back then. Now I feel sad that I'm getting towards 30..maybe this suggestion would make me feel happier.
This song, no matter the day or what's going on can always put the biggest smile on my face and make me break out and start dancing. Just the best heart happy song.
I like how it has a Bee Gees kind of sound to it and how the intro part reminds me of ABBA. I shouldn't have looked at the lyrics. I like the lyrics that I thought they were.
That usually happens when I look up the lyrics to an old song (with "old" covering quite a few decades). But at least I know the Talking Heads aren't singing "drink some milk" in For Artists Only. The lyrics to Louie Louie are still as indecipherable af, though. :)
My dad started blasting this on a speaker and danced upstairs and then went to my sister's room still dancing at like 7:00AM I was just in the bathroom choking on my toothbrush 😂
It's impossible to sit still when this is playing! It grabbed my attention from the first time i heard it (ditto: Fall Out Boy "This ain't a scene" around the same time). However, I think the chorus lyric is: "I'd rather be home with no-one if I can't get down, with you -oo-oo".
Such an amazing song, i loved this when i was younger, whenever i go out in town i know they are playing old songs i always request this, can't help but dance
This is one of those songs that would've been a massive hit in the 80s, but due to it being released in the 2000s, it just couldn't compete with the rising rap genre taking over the music scene.
when this song came out in 2006 it was the no.1 song in the singles charts in 11 countries, and became a certified platinum record in 5 countries - in what way WASN’T this a massive hit?
You obviously weren't a clubber. Even less so a gay clubber. This song came on in the grocery store the other day and there were two other people singing along. I was the third.
@@RebecaTaylor where are you finding any information that says it was released in the 70’s? the majority of the band were born after ‘76, and it’s an original song
@@ShadowNinja2846 Leo Sayer released a song called "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" in 1976. He also sang with a high-falsetto, so this song kinda fits in with the era.

This song reminds me of my dad, this and grace kelly by mika, those are the two songs he used to play when he would pick me and my sister up for contact visits 😂👍
I gotta get me one of those toothbrushes! Hope they are still available, One case should do it. Thanks for mentioning that. Wow! who knew about that? I'm on the hunt now. Anyone know what's up with that?
A song that perfectly fits with Mika’s style. An ageless song, an anthem of the eighties. I should have enjoyed more that time… But times were rough, a great pity…
@@edmundpower1250 LOL! I wish we had done that. In the end we just spent 6 months slowly learning to despise each other and not even being brave enough to even come close to visiting the concept of anything even remotely near to a sexual relationship.

"So I'll play along When I hear that FANCY song" "You'd better move when round the room Looks like TONIGHT SURELY I'LL BE FINE" "Why did you BREAK IT DOWN when I'm not in the mood?" "SINNERS come abd SINNERS go just like the old DAMN FIRES"
This song reminds me of how much I love my freedom. Don't feel like dancing, even if I find nothing better to do. Me when I am at my best, being stubborn haha!!..

The low resolution guitar and drummer gifs really tie this song together
