Yeah, close game...Ward really helped make it closer than it should've been. He always looks ponderous in the field, it seems it's like an afterthought but when he actually gets moving and gets to where the ball is... but he still messed it up. There was no pressure there...he ambled to collect the ball ( I'm assuming the only gears he has are slow, amble, and stop) the runner was always going to make 3rd...but he turned it into a run for the Padres. Not only a run to the opponents..but giving them hope.
Just got my new Halos cap...loving the positive vibes. GO YOU HALOS!!!

if you remember my comment from yesterdays game and video i had stated profar and taylor ward are the 2 worst outfielders and profar was crowned king yesterday....i think this is a good standoff between the two they really fighting for that crown...ward is very close to being the worst but 1 run instead of the game is not as bad. Profar still has the crown ladies and gentleman.
I watch whatever I can with regard to the Angels( I live in the UK) Love baseball...always been an Angel's fan. I'm a cricketer...and if anyone fielded like Ward does ( no matter the standard) they would be 'called out' for it. Regardless of the ball ( or a mit/glove) awareness, reaction and throwing skills are essential. I don't think I've ever seen any baseball fielder be so slow in reacting...but that throw above? No pressure, the runner was always going to make it to 3rd base, ( just as in cricket, sometimes a run is always going to be scored, you just do the basics in that case) just get to the ball, collect it cleanly and throw it in. Ward is just so annoying to watch.
@@garryleerob honestly yes and he’s not bad offensively but as a angel fan it sucks to see how little effort he does and yesterdays game he got lucky just getting the ball in, but fr no pressure no nothing like at least make the throw
Good game but where is the batting coaching on the Angels ? Nolan Schanuel is the batting about 215 as he stands right on the plate and holds the bat as high as he possibly can completely away from where the ball will be. He would be physically unable to make contact with a ball on the inside especially in the lower half of the zone...back up Nolan...get your arms down...and open your stance....Mickey Moniak is batting in the 100s..way below his potential...he also has a very closed stance..requiring cranking his head it almost 90° and really not getting good binocular vision on the balls that are coming out in at 95 plus. The Angels all need to go back and look at Rod Carew standing there almost facing the pitchet with an open stance and binocular vision on the ball and not trying to kill it but having over 3,000 hits....Ward is also underperforming and seems to stare at strike after strike after strike. Simply put the Angels are not contact hitters. They strike out far too much.
