Determiners | Four types of determiners

Determiners are words that comes at the beginning of the noun hence basically introduces a noun.
They determines noun, that is whether a noun is specific or general.
Now, determiners are basically divided into four types :
1.) Articles : which are a,an,the
2.) Demonstratives : which are words like this, that, these, those
3.) Possessives : which are words like my/your/his/her/your/their
4.) Quantifiers : which are words like some/few/little/many/much/any

John Eastwood in his book classifies determiner as a distinctive part of speech. That is to say, he considers it to be separate from adjective and pronoun. He argues that determiners only include articles and possessives. Quantifiers are adjectives and the demonstratives like this, these etc are pronouns unless followed by a noun. What is your opinion?
