I will never be a customer of yours, I simply don't have the disposable income, however, you have inspired me to at least have nicer books. They may not be rare or valuable but they're mine, I like them, they look so much nicer on my shelves and I will enjoy the reading of them.
Congratulations, Tom! I’m absolutely thrilled for you on successfully conquering your challenge-it’s such an incredible achievement! And a very happy belated birthday to your daughter! I hope her special day was filled with love, laughter, and wonderful memories. Wishing you both continued joy and success! 😊
Margaret Lockwood was a fabulous actress, my favourite film being Hitchcock’s The Lady Vanishes. Lovely that she had a friendship with Agatha Christie!
Tom, if you put the camera on manual focus using the button, then zoom right in as close as you can at an object (I suggest a book!), focus, you'll find the camera will never go out of focus moving it around - just a pro's tip 4 you.
I just found you very recently on YT. I enjoy listening to how enthusiastic you are about books . Would like to see more videos of you showing us your oldest books and describing how the book was made and showing the details. Siena will be a great help to you. Please let her know that she has beautiful hair!! Congratulations to your daughter’s first birthday! FYI. Lucy Worsley, the TV presenter and historian loves Agatha Christie. You may want to get in touch with her to let her know you have rare Agatha’s books for sale.
So, your mention of Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam reminds me of a book that was in my great-grandparent’s smokehouse. It’s a hardcover of this book, probably from the early 20th century, that has been used as a scrapbook. Obituaries and country news and reprinted sermons have been cut out of the newspaper and pasted into the book. It covers the time period of the late 1920s through the 1930s (the Great Depression) and ends just a bit after WW2.
Hi Tom. You instigated my curiosity in books I thought I had lost a decade ago. Great content as usual. Your work (and videos) are very much appreciated. Would love to hear about your (and now Sienna's) personal taste in books, recommendations and the likes.
Greetings from the Pacific Northwest (USA). Been following you and your business for a while now. Like the organization of your Shop. Enjoy seeing your growth.
Destination unknown was really good and a step away from her usual whodunnits. Lovely to see you taking on Sienna, as it means your business is moving forwards. Best of luck.
Love your videos. And I love books. I am tracking down the owner of a book I bought for very little money but it has a plate with her name in, and a date of 1911. A school gift for Alice Dobbs. The local archive is helping and it's fascinating. I'm happy you're business is growing. You're brave to share your journey online. Congratulations to you all.
Tom… Did you find a buyer for the Peter Pan and Florence Nightingale books ? If not… I want them…. I’ve watched that video 10 times… cried each time…..
@AnSe902 It's been building up. The mentions of Sienna in vids. A shared love in books. All the hallmarks for it. Now in close proximity all the time in a room with a beautiful view and privacy lol.

Saving this for later, but it looks promising. It seems very dynamic with a new person involved.

do you think that you will ever run out of books to buy?
I do not intend to be crude, so pardon my bluntness, but Sienna is stunning :)
Is this guy related to Simply Red? Sure does look a whole lot like him!

@@DavidHodge-z9vPretty sure he has a wife and child, yes? Come on now.
Is this channel about rare books or about how much money one man makes from selling books ? It's not the same thing.
It's about the whole, it's about being a book dealer! Of course!
