I’ve been pruning branches that are creating blind spots at major intersections in my town for more than 20 years. This is a great innovative snd useful tool (plus the saw). Good Time Saver and looks much safer to use, as well. Tim Wolfe
Seems like it is only good for horizontally positioned branches. Cutting branches in vertical might be a problem. This design however is better than the one that have cord to cut.
nice.... funky and fast and... over-engineered by some geek somewhere for sure. Looks totally effective. Call me old fashioned but, I still think the "feeling" of sawing through a limb, with a sharp, scimitar shaped blade on the end of a pole, making sawdust, etc is unbeatable.
You are right not only does it look effective it is effective. What I really like is that it makes pruning branches during the growing season possible without the frustrations of bark ripping. It also works real good on vines. I encourage you to go out into the forest and prune by whatever means gives you the most pleasure and good results.
@@limbzippertoolsfortrees7172 - Been looking for a descent one since quite a bit. The Fiskars, Wolf Garten, etc are not as good at all! Their rope pulling system is trash. Can I place an order and ship it to Belgium? Thanks.
@@laurapalmerTDGE Yes, the Limbzipper can be shipped to Belgium. This best way to go about this is to go to LimbZipper.com and then email directly to info@Limbzipper.com. We can send you everything you need Minus the pole and saw which you can purchase in Belgium and save a huge amount on shipping. Thanks for your interest in LimbZipper.

You are absolutely correct. The written information at the web site clearly states that this is the case. The tool was developed for the pruning of the main stem branches to produce knot free lumber which is more valuable. Most importantly it can make this cut without bark ripping which creates its own set of lumber defects. From a lumber production and tree health view point it is best to prune branches when they are one inch or less in diameter. Thank you for your comment, Russell
The $395 includes shipping which on average is about $45. The long box for the pole incurs a $ 23.50 special handling charge. Yes the LimbZipper is pricey but the ease and speed of pruning hundreds of trees over just a pole saw is worth it. If there is no need there is no reason to buy.
Ummmm.... I just spent $1500 in very basic climbing gear... tree tools, especially professional grade are absurdly expensive ... this thing looks phenomenal!

you are correct. the main application for this head is in forestry work where the purp[ose iOS to remove side limbs.
Great design however 1 major flaw. If i wanted to prune way out on the outside i cannot pull down as it will break it off eksewhere.
What is the price and where is available

Great tool as long as the branch is firm but if you’re trying to trim a Thin branch, not at its base, then this wouldn’t work.
