    You know most of the people that can't stand the "extra audio" are just frustrated because they are sitting on that demon tire that won't seat sweating profusely and probably bleeding as well. I'm feeling that pain too...haha. Good trick, I would rather try this than ether if I had a choice, Thanks!

    I dilute my Murphy’s tire soap with water to get a consistency of a thick liquid . Using a spiral paint stirrer chucked into an electric drill works well . I use this solution on 22.5 truck tires . Nice tip !

    Great Idea! I don't have any Murphy's but you gave me the idea to try squish up all your old bars of bath bath soap and save them in a little jug. or syrup might dry and seal up small leaks on my tractors!!

    This worked! Putting this on heavy definitely did it for me. The lip of the tire wasn't lubed enough to go over the rim so it was sealing funny. I put some thick scoops of this on and got the pop I was looking for. Thanks Boss!

    Great tips, thank you sir! I'm battling a stubborn ATV wheel and tire right now. I thought I got it last night because the bead fully seated and the tire held air for hours. I looked again this morning, and the bead had come off again on one side. I'm going to find some of that tire goop and give it a try.

    Murphy’s tire soap is a very good tire lubricant , the best ! Mix up a small batch adding water and mix with paint stirrer with a drill motor . The consistency should still be thick enough when applied to stick well ! I use a welder’s glove to apply , the gloves will last for years ! I change truck tires once in a while .

    Thanks for the tip! I wanted to get the Murphy's but nobody had it in stock, so I found a similar product called Euro Paste by Ken-tool, at my local NAPA auto parts store. A bit messy, but was easy, and enabled me to get the job done today. It didn't cost much for the paste. Eventually I'll get one of the bead seater air tanks, but didn't want to wait or spend the $100 for the tank right now. Thanks again.

    Murphy's soap does work. Used it a few times before I got hold of a ratchet strap, only I used the liquid type and had to let it set up and kept applying layers until it firmed up. It still worked.

    This is a method we’ve been using at my family’s tire shops since before I was born but with the machines , cheetahs and tools it’s not really common method anymore and I’m really happy to have seen this again! Customers used to give us hell when they saw one of the guys doing this hahahaha

    Just put shampoo water. Push tire radially in while pumping air without valve core. And keep your fingers aways from rim tyre-joint area when bead seating.

  • @studpuppy69

    Cool trick. Most people, not me, will use starting fluid. Of course if you do this alot a Cheetah bead seating tool works great! My favorite method.

    @Mike Onnels - maybe the reason someone uses Murphy's Oil soap instead of a Bead Bazooka is the Murphy's Oil soap doesn't cost $250!! Unless you are doing this all day long it's hard to justify a BB for one offs. But thanks for the comment because I had never heard of a Bead Boozka.

    what a lot of people don't understand is a bead seater will seal most tires not all. tall truck tires 11r's not stored standing up become skinny tires on a 24.5 rim. I use bead seater than starter fluid then this soap, soap last because that starter fluid may pop the tire off wit that slick soap on the bead.

    i've seen that thing done on my five tires but the technician used a 4 inch paint brush to apply that grease like thng. so the grease like thing is for sealing the tire temporarily til the tire beads

    So the idea is to stop the slow leak so the air can get passed it into the broader portion of the tire until it then fills up and forces the inside of the tire to expand to the rim.. i bet peanutbutter would work.. or an soap lubed garden hose that would then be pushed out as the bead seated.

  • @CCTECH75

    Carefull using this, it is very slick, I have seen tires turn on the wheel , this can be very scary then you come to a fast hard stop. (Wheel Stops tires Don't) No Fun.

  • @guynextfloor
    @guynextfloor 11 лет назад

    Fire is also handy for emergency field reseating of low-pressure loader or tractor tires that come off the rim during work (if you have a 12psi tire eventually it will get down to pop-off point. Most of the time those tires are too large to seat on-the-spot with a compressor-driven reseater

  • @Tony-ib2vm
    @Tony-ib2vm 3 года назад

    Also you can over charge, when the customer returns for numerous vibration problems, since the tire will spin on the rim the first time they brake or accelerate aggressively, throwing the assembly out of balance...

  • @guynextfloor
    @guynextfloor 11 лет назад

    That's the idea, if you don't have Murphy's tire soap you can use just about any thick compound that will offer just enough resistance to air to get pressure to seat. If you have a bad bead better use a urethane based caulking goo.

    Put the valve core back in and bounce the tire on the floor. That bead would have seated by bouncing in 1/2 the time not counting your clean up.

    The fellers at Big O Tires in CA. couldn't get my replacement tire to bead.. Watching 3 guys and a gal. using multiple air hoses on It.. I spent most of my day waiting. She said come back in the morning and It will be ready.. She said the tires were too cold to bead. huh. the first thing i thought of was Big O Tires shouldn't sell cold tires?

    Only time you need to do that is when you're mounting a narrow tire to a wide rim or a huge tire (ex. 11 r 24.5) that is very hard to handle. This procedure here seems best for this type of tire.

    I thought the sound effects were cool! I have one thought though, If it doesnt want to seat down properly it would be a rough surface on the rim I would think? I like to take a brown scotch brite Roloc wheel on my right angle die grinder and polish up the rim surface if it's rough like that. The soap idea does work good though, I've used similar stuff in tough cases. Good vid as always!

    I've got a different problem. My tire holds air fine, but I can't seem to get the bead to snap evenly into the rim! Happened on all four new tires I tried to put on. Even aired them up to like 50 psi (max allowed according to label on sidewall). What do I do? Take them off, de-bead and try again?

  • @brendaneagan6959
    @brendaneagan6959 11 лет назад

    neat trick but i got one better its called starter fluid and a blow torch this also works on the car, like a junker that has sat so long it lost its bead. Jack up the problem wheel blow out debris from bead land depress sidewall and shoot a bit of starter spray or hair spray into tire be ready with air to chase the pressure exerted by explosion inside tire when you ignite the fluid you just sprayed. but i would not recommend that to a 5th grader who is the target audience judging by the soundFX.

    I got an ATV tire that won’t seat about 4” along the bead. It’s aired up and sealed, I went to 40 psi and it wouldn’t seat. I tried breaking the bead again, added spray soap several times and it still won’t f*ckin seat lol. I have some bead sealer I might try to break the bead completely on that side, add the sealant, & try to seat again.
    Any other suggestions??
