If you think most kids will be willing to trade their hard-earned candy for ANY gift, you’re just nuts. Kids live in the moment and look forward to halloween and all that candy. This idea is totally absurd.
Yea that first pitch was worthless and useless. Some people really just try to get rich quick with terrible ideas they think people will just fall for it and fork up hard earned money.

Nah, if you listen carefully... out of the 5.7 mil sales, only 2.8 mil is the real sale for these sunglasses. The rest was from their other lines. So kevin's valuation at 2.5 mil IS reasonable. I think the shark is more offended on the fact that they asked that much money for so little equity and they want the shark to get the licensing deal for since they couldn't get it themselves.
Their logic for valuation is so subjective it’s meaningless. Every time the sales/profits to value ratio changes based on their feeling and opinions, yet they try to make a point that sales/profits is what valuations should be based on. But obviously that’s not true. Kind of annoying lol.
The last guy had a patent, also it's growth trajectory for the sharks was greater. Also probably they liked the guy more.

It’s a dumb product AND THE WORST PART: It can only be used once a year for ONE DAY!

Glasses one was very brutal but only because they needed a Shark to get to the next round of millions and not the other way around. Phew
To me, the Switch Witch is essentially just a Halloween themed Elf on the Shelf kind of thing, so I get it. Unless it was started in my family as a VERY early tradition though, and the present was GOOD or something I really wanted, there's no way any candy would've been given up. With the tooth fairy, teeth are trash you're trading for money so it feels like a good deal. Candy is a big motivator for kids. If a parent said "turn in your candy and we'll go to Disney" then that might have worked. But just a few bucks? Nah 😂😬
I think it could work. Although kids get excited for Halloween, they're probably already thinking about their Christmas/holiday list. If their parent/guardian got them something early off their list in exchange for candy, they'd be psyched.

Man the sunstaches was one of the toughest deals ive seen on Shark Tank. On one side Kevin being extra extra harsh on the valuation and finally on the negotiation with daymond. I mean they destroyed those three dudes until theu gave up much more than they wanted. I believe they were so harsh due to the easiness of copying their company anf not being something unique.

These guys need to rebrand their product to fit all child gifting occasions. On Halloween they leave their candy but on other holidays they leave tokens like stars that the earn throught the year for good behavior etc in exchange for new/actual gifts.
This is a much better idea. At least pitch to growing the platform into something like that eventually

Not at all true. You have no idea what their relationship was actually like. People can and often do change over time. Tons and tons of people would tell you that the person they married was totally different from the one they divorced. People get lazy, entitled, fat, they get attitudes and issues of all kinds. You have no more idea about his marriage than I do. You could be right, but you could easily be wrong as well. Point is, shut the hell up.
