I bought one of these two years ago and the frame geometry is incredibly well sorted (size XL). As an ex racer (both road and cross-country) I love how responsive and lively it is, yet it's incredibly stable in the downhills. It's such a great bike that I've upgraded the wheels to Mavic Crossmax, the gears to XT and - the bit that was a real game changer - the bars to the Race Face Next carbon flat (along with a Race Face Turbine stem). These bars are a fraction of the weight of the scaffold tube that comes with the bike and absorb so much shock that you can ride with the forks locked out on all but the worst terrain. The overall weight saving of these upgrades is very noticeable and they've really brought the bike alive. Again, top marks to Orbed for such a superb frame.
Thanks for your fine review of the Orbea Alma H20! Most helpful! By the way, please, can you maybe in future play some less stressful music choice, you are cycling in nature! No hard rockmusic in the forest trails as I have heard so far! For me it is very stressful to listen to the music that has nothing to do with you and your fine review! Wishing you all the best always! Kiitos! :-)

How much speed do you lose going from 2x to 1x drive train?
What is your height?
@@DonAmos_stories Nothing at all really. Obviously you might find you’re missing a ratio in the lower gears, but the benefits far exceed that.
@@VladPopa-y9g I’m 1m 92cm but with long legs.
