- So here's a question..."Do you know what Seminalis means?"
I love asking this whenever I show off my SEMINALIS perfume with someone new to this fragrance....I get one of 2 responses.
This perfume is best described as a creamy, floral sandalwood scent designed for intimate moments.
As a self confessed Alessandro Gualtieri Fan Boy, I want to go through the entire ORTO PARISI range and share my love for this entire collection.
I'm in love with perfume and beautiful smells. I deeply love niche perfumes and find that they are unique and incredibly diverse. I am Marcelo and I'm the Niche Fragrance Collector.

Wow, what a great interpretation of this fragrance. A beautiful fragrance. It is so difficult to describe it to people and you knocked it out the park.
Thanks Jae🙏🏼....I do love sharing this fragrance with others both on the 'cheeky' side because of the name and plus I do love how beautiful this perfume actually is
Marcelo is a master at explaining a back storey, conveying the scent thru words and evoking the mood a fragrance should.
Thank you Joey appreciate the encouragement and kind words my friend🙏🏻
I like all fragrances from orto parisi . Thanks 🙏
Yep, totally agree @My Life46🧡
cannot agree more! it is a very gorgeous creamy warm scent.... Brutus is my another love :)
Awesome to hear from you! And yes, Brutus is incredible…a hidden gem🥰
#1 fragrance channel. Man.. You deserve 10x more subcribers. Great review! Greetings from Poland!
Thank you my friend! I noticed that you have an awesome channel; congrats to you👊🏽 Thank you for jumping into the conversation here💫
Take a bow sir, that was EPIC.
Haven’t seen a review like this before👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏼👍🏼👌👌
Whoa, that is a big call, but very much appreciated 🧡🤎....thank you for the kind words @Arun Kumar🙏🏼
Spot on description. I laugh all the time about his naming convention and his marketing. The graphics as you open the box is just over the top. Actually picked Seminalis up today and decided to go with Maher Olfactive Santal Auster which is sandalwood centric. These two fragrances could be "cousins". Keep the content coming.
Thank you Steve👊🏼 and yes, tell me Alessandro doesn't know how to market his stuff😄🤎
Appreciate the support as always mate⚡️
My first contact with that scent was a strong sandalwood smell, very romantic and attractive. When I got it, I understood why it was so attractive and enthralling, it’s the animalistic, musky, sensual vibe that it conveys. I love it so much.
I love your definition and I totally agree....there are levels of animalics mixed in with the sandalwood that gives it an sensual (dare I say erotic) vibe to this fragrance....gorgeous perfume
Great to hear from you @gangrene7688
Is like a cuddle this fragrance, well done Marcelo 👍🍀
Yep, totally agree. This is a lovers embrace🧡 Thanks for reaching out Luke
Another magnificent review. I think I’ve seen your another review on Seminalis, if I’m not mistaken. Funny thing is, Seminalis made me nauseated for overspraying it. 😅
By the way Boccanera is awesome. Thanks for recommanding.
Hey Muhammad yes I did a review on Seminalis and Bergamask alongside Tash who was experiencing it for the first time.
Totally agree do not overspray any of the Orto Parisi, these will blow your brain🤯
Good news that you like Boccanera, this is an awesome long lasting fragrance😍
Seminalis is a gorgeous parfum! I bought it in a niche perfumery in Modena, Italia, two months ago and I'm so happy I've found your fantastic review. Very happy! Absolutely top 5 from Orto Parisi by Alessandro Gualtieri
I want to go to Modena😩 As Aussie's we've been grounded from travelling for the past 2 years and I can't wait to return to Italy!!! Wonderful to hear from you @Jessica and so cool that you had the chance to purchase your bottle in this beautiful city, what an awesome olfactory memory everytime you spray that perfume🧡
Thanks for reaching out🙏🏼
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thank you very much indeed for your thoughts, yes I agree it's a beautiful city! I love Modena. I like Your RUclips Channel because the notes and the fragrances are very well explained in a thorough and very precise way.
Hsve a Great weekend!
Thank you Jessica for your kind words, appreciate your support 🙏🏻
Hi Marcelo!
I buy recently Seminalis, and i'm very satisfied.
I have also Baraonda, i want buy onother one, maybe Terroni, let me know if you like that one also 👀👌
Alessandro Gualtieri is an expert into doing frangrances . i sampled megamare and i was wowed ...i love dense ,strong ,complex perfumes and he doesnt disappoint . unfortunately i cant find samples,or discovery kits of orto parisi and your reviews really help . would be great to know what are your top perfumes from him .
Megamare took me sometime to get use to; your description is perfect ("dense, strong, complex"). When I first tested this one, it was too much for me...super intense! Now I love it⚡️😎....I'm going to be talking about Megamare next week.
Yes Alessandro doesn't do samples/discovery kits of his fragrance, so you have to go into a store to test these out.
Thanks for reaching out Lucian, very much appreciate the support my friend
oh yes, i love the parisi's and gualtieri, seminalis is nice, i like your review describing it about love, i also see terroni on the shelf behind, thats my fav parisi
Great to hear from you Adz and yes, I'm looking forward to sharing on Terroni (spectacular fragrance🤎)
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector nice, i look forward to your terroni review , i agree it’s spectacular 👍
Beautiful perfume I am like this.
I'm sold 😄 Thanks Marcelo! Love it 🧉👊
Good choice Yokk♥️💫
Great review! I get excited about your reviews and hope to try them myself. Fortunately - I was able to get many of the Orto Parisi fragrances as samples for around $4 - $9 each delivered. It’s so essential in the next step after watching these reviews. I use Mens Biz to purchase my samples but there are others which supply these samples too.
Thanks for your constant support Marcus🙏🏼 and yes, I totally agree that all the Orto range needs to be tested first, I wouldn't recommend blind buying any of these....each are unique and at times like nothing that a person has experienced before.
I feel that Seminalis is the easiest to appreciate and enjoy. After all it's designed as a fragrance for seduction so it needs to be soft and appealing (which is a winner in my books)
Thanks for reaching out, great to hear from you mate!
Nice work Marcelo, this certainly sounds intriguing!
Thanks Raffi👊🏽
New one for me, thanks Marcelo again for taking the fragrance road less traveled. Will have to try this one out. As always, keep up the good work...your channel is maturing rapidly.
Fred this is liquid art. The entire Orto Parisi range takes perfumery to another level. Let me warn you, at first it's not for everyone. But in time, everyone will love them....really special.
In my view, Seminalis is the easiest one to enjoy first; I would start here if you're new to the range.
Thanks for your constant support and encouragement Fred; very much appreciated🧡
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I am a fan of what's called "high information music": complex, unpredictable patterns of sound and rhythms. The same train of thought can be applied to fragrances. I'll tell you, Epic Man by Amouage was a challenge for me at first, then it grew on me faster than jungle fungus. So based on all of that, I'm going to have to hustle up a sample. Liquid art indeed. Thanks Marcelo.
I’m intrigued by “high information music”…. What artist would you recommend as a starting point for me? I would like to experience what this music is
And yes Epic man can be a bit confronting at the start but once you fall in love with this there’s no going back♥️
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector High information music is an unofficial blanket term for genres of music I enjoy such as jazz/classical (and all their respective sub-genres), progressive rock, etc. So you can pretty much take it from there as I'm sure we're in the same age bracket!
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Ok here you go. I just had this on in the car: ruclips.net/video/PURWu3lIggg/видео.html
Beautiful beautiful review 💕🐝💕
Thank you🙏🏻 appreciate you reaching out
Gracias por tus reseñas saludos desde Zacatecas México
Gracia Noah💫👊🏽 aprecio mucho tus comentarios. Saludos de Australia 🦘
Super interesting!
Yep, that's Alessandro's mission to make unusual but interesting fragrances....plus he knows how to successfully market them😉. Great to hear from you Liliana 💫
Great stuff . This is 1 of the 4 I’m looking at . Can’t wait for bergamask , Terroni , Viride
Thanks Sean and yep, all 4 of these are winners....curious to know your thoughts once you get a chance to test
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector and Megamask lol
Bergamask, terroni, and Megamare are absolutely amazing. Top 3 of the line to me
@@kfadness Boom Baby! Top 3 right here. What did you think of Viride?
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I liked that one, it's very peppery and fresh to me! It's like kind of a mix between absinthe and CDG blackpepper's opening I think. Less sweet than the other Orto's to me. It's lower on my list, but just because so many of them are so strong in quality that by comparison and being "very good" it's a bit less than the other's "excellent"
Great breakdown of this fragrance. Might have to try this one.
Strongly recommend; wonderful fragrance....great to hear from you @PoweredByHotshot
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I will definitely add it to my list. I just picked up two penhaligon fragrances today (well ordered rather) so I'll get to it shortly I hope lol
Ooh, watch ya order!!?😍
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I ordered penhaligon zizonia and bayolea. Two that has been on my radar for a while now. Figured I'd purchase them for my monthly buy. Definitely going to order Belgravia chypre next.
The main thing that I picked up from your message is that you have a “monthly buy”😎… it’s like having a subscription program, the differences is you smell unique every month♥️
Nice one Marcelo. Not heard of this one but I guessed the name right!
Hope you said it to the screen🤔 Not many people know the name; I always love their expression when I tell them😂
Great to hear from you @Cowboy Crunchies (BTW do you mind if I know your name?)
I'm a big fan of Alessandro Gualtieri and especially of Seminalis. I made an experiment with my own ... , because I was very interested that Seminalis smell really like semen. It doesn't smell like fresh semen at all, but... on a paper handkercheif dry down, after 20-30 minutes the smell is exactly the same. Sorry to write this, but it's the truth. Seminalis is a genial fragrance, just like its creator. ♥
Sir, I do appreciate you doing this, all in the name of science 🫡
That's commitment 😬
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector 😃
I sampled Seminalis this afternoon. The olfactory jury is still out on this one. I didn't dislike it, but I'm just not sure. Will give this another go in the future!
Interesting that this one didn’t resonate with you Fred. What was it about the fragrance that didn’t work?
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I was struck by the opening, which didn't grab me right away. Another problem was giving this a go after sampling Xerjoff and Parfums de Marly frags. Orto Parisi is in another league, which means next time I'm sample Seminalis only and see how it comports itself over the course of an afternoon. True story, Epic Man by Amouage knocked me back the first time around as I had no reference points for this particular fragrance. After about two wearings I couldn't get enough of it!
You know it’s funny, because I was piecing together from all your comments that you had a awesome day of exploring new fragrances.
In that exploration, I made the assumption that you tested Seminalis amongst all those other fragrances🤔…. And this is why the perfume didn’t resonate with you
As you mentioned the Orto Parisi’s are in a league of their own, And so need to be experienced independently. The animalic notes are away too strong versus other fragrances in particular the Xerjoff’s.
I would be interested to hear your thoughts once you’ve returned as a ‘clean slate’😎
Although I would’ve loved to of been there on that day of exploration!
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Oh yeah, I set some time aside to window shop! Lots of fun!
THA ORTO LINE IZ ART IN A BOTTLE
Yes sir!
I love your way to describe fragrances, seminalis in which seasons do you suggest to wear it? I'm looking for a fragrance for spring..
It will be great for fresher seasons, more like end of winter-early spring. I saw on a website that it’s for all seasons but however I think it’s for the February-March-april-ish season and nighttime in summer possibly
Damn that intro tho
Thanks Daniel👊🏼
Seminal is relative to sperm, if we go further "semen" also means seed in latin...would love to know if there are some seed components in the fragrance (carrot seed, nuts etc ...)... or pollen (semen of flowers) ? From Gualtieri I've only tested Nasomatto's Nudiflorum, and it fascinated me (will buy a full bottle !). I want to smell all the rest !
Both the Nasomatto and Orto Parisi range are exceptional....complex, beautiful perfumes. I too would be interested to know if there are 'seeds' in Seminalis....I wouldn't be surprised if there was as Alessandro is forever adding symbolism to his work.
Great to hear from you @alizarine11 thanks for reaching out
How would you say it compares to Blamage? I love blamage but heard that seminalis' dry down was very similar, enough so that it isn't worth it to get both?
That’s an interesting point @Bria Smith, I don’t feel that I’m getting that. For me seminalis has much more of a creamy milky sandalwood dry down. Whereas Blamage, has some leathery woody components to it
I would recommend that you test these out, one on each arm and see what you think. …. I would be curious to know your thoughts
This intro is a seminal moment in film making
Not a 'seminalis' moment but a seminal one🤔 I was going to for full drama!! Are we connected on Instagram? If yes, check out the story that I created for this😂 @nfc.perfumes
Great to hear from you Qasim
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector I'm sadly not on Instagram, but trust that the story is stormin! Really good intro though Marcelo, hope you have a great weekend
Thank you Qasim, likewise my friend

Good review and I'm intrigued by Seminalis....but if I may ask,as your in Australia how is the delivery done from Europe....and did you also have to pay customs charges on them?Appreciate your reply as I would love to order some of these especially Terroni and Cuoium.Thanks.
Great to hear from you Kevin, thanks for reaching out. I purchase all my fragrances directly from a retailer. I have a number of really good perfume stores here in Melbourne that I go to. I’m always a bit reluctant to purchase off 3rd party websites (especially if their pricing is really cheap) as I’m always concerned that I might end up with a fake.
Hope that helps. And yes, I would strongly recommend both Terroni and Cuoium….magic perfumes but a lot punchier than Seminalis
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thank you kindly Marcelo for your reply and hints.I never buy from the 3rd party or eBay hawkers as I don't trust any of them. However I do know of a retailer in Amsterdam that is very reputable and they do stock it so I will give them a call.On a side note my mom and her family are from Sicily....,..
'Noto' a small town which is not far from Catania....lovely place and friendly people........thanks again.
Great to hear from you Kevin and yes I agree best place to buy your perfume is from a reputable place you’re spending all that money you want to make sure you’re getting the right thing.
And on a sidenote I actually visited Noto😎 and ate at Café Sicilia🥰. This town was amazing
Actually check this out: ruclips.net/video/mnAYMfke704/видео.html
From the one minute and 24 second mark😎
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Yes I like Noto I have a lovely apartment there which my kids see more than me and they have their Italian cousins and relatives to civilize them.I'll retire there eventually, oh and I'll give you my thoughts on Terroni,Cuoium and Bergarmark once I get them.
Not a lustful fragrance? One day I wore this, had three big compliments. Two women breathed in deeply and told me “oh honey you smell good.” The last one was a cashier at restaurant who said publicly “oh baby you smell good I wanna bite you.” 😂 that last one freaked me out. But yea buccanera had similar responses but not as out there as seminelis.
Dude, I think I may have to revise my statement… Definitely a lustful fragrance on you my friend!
It’s safe to say that I’ve never had this extreme experience happen when I’m wearing it😳
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector yup still is a lustful fragrance. It’s dangerous to wear in crowds. Also when it comes to Orto parisi and Nasomotto, how many sprays do you use typically? Usually I try not to go more than three.
Absolutely John, three is the absolute max that I ever spray.
Anything more than that just does my head in and ‘skunks’ everyone out around me😵💫
@@johnrohrkaste2073 3 sprays!? Geez. 1 spray of Bergamask lasts 3 days on my skin. 3 sprays of Black Afgano should be illegal.
The same here! 😜
What are your top 3 from this house male?
I couldn't find a top 5 video
Thanks!
Ah yes…. All in good time @D😉
I need to review two more in the collection and then I will do a summary episode
Hey Marcelo, one more. This is music as fragrance. The music of Nik Bartsch's Ronin builds slowly in layers until it reaches "beast mode", then settles down close to the skin an in your memory forever: ruclips.net/video/OzkSr9AoFtI/видео.html
Hey Fred, I had a listen to this track and you explained it perfectly (I appreciate the perfume metaphor my friend)....and yes, it did blow up to 'Beast Mode'....I love the expressions of the guys, they were getting right into it.
I'm impressed at the level of orchestrated 'noise' that had rhythm and an alluring appeal. I realised that I relaxed and enjoyed it more the 2nd time through. The first time, I think I was trying to make sense of it (rhythmically) and anticipate where it was going but on 2nd go, I just let go and let music take me....awesome piece.
Thanks homie for sharing this
Rated R!
😂 No this is about love not lust, so at best M15+🤔
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector dude, you rock!
@@marrawi No my man, you rock😎 Thanks for reaching out Mohammed
Wait, what is the Australian semen plant? "Wattle"?
Yep 100%....I need to find out the name of the variety, but it's punchy😳. When it comes in bloom at my local park, I'm going to have to take a photo of it and will put it on my insta page.
Great to hear from you @Acquavallo👊🏽
