Hands-down the finest pack system out there. I'm not a hunter but a backpacker and ski mountaineer and I love this system for both its customizable modularity and its terrific weight. It puts "civilian" backpacks by the top brands (TNF, Osprey, etc etc) to shame, especially in this price range. None of them can touch this masterpiece of outdoors engineering.

For the first time I was able to use the meat shelf on the Kuiu Pro 7800, it’s the largest pack they sell; however easy to shape down to a day pack.
Any how, the pack did awesome on packing out a cow elk, hind quarters are heavy but the pack helped with the padding and meat shelf system!
    By far the best!

The KUIU pack is by far the most comfortable and stable pack system I have ever used. I have a couple of their PRO packs. I utilize my PRO 6000 almost exclusively. This pack is worn three to four days a week, year round and now has over 2000 miles on it. I have carried loads of meat and gear in excess of 100 pounds comfortably in the Idaho backcountry.
I have owned and used a number of packs both military and civilian, none of them come close to the KUIU pack system. They are a bit spendy, but the product is worth every last penny. No regrets!

I absolutely love this pack, as it meets all the typical Kuiu quality and common sense approach to what hunting gear should be. My ONLY issue is that the packs do not come with a rain cover. With everything else that Kuiu does right, and at this price point, the system should be fully sustainable in any weather conditions. Here in Alaska, a rain cover is not just a mere convenience, it’s a necessity. Just my humble input to a great company, keep doing what you do guys😎👍

How come the Pro LT 5500 doesn’t come with a hydration sleeve?

What is the weight difference from the Pro to the LTs? Seems much thicker, heftier material thicknesses from the Pro series to the LT serious obviously. Just evaluating the actual weight savings vs ruggedness. I"m thinking the PRO right not but I'm also not 15 miles out, loaded down either LOL.

@K EE the weight difference varies, depending on the size range you're looking at, and there's not always a 1:1 size correlation. The LT4000 is 10oz lighter than the Pro 3600, as a rough comparison. The Pro line generally has more organizational features and is constructed with 500D cordura.

Does this come with the suspension and frame, or can you just use the pack as is on when purchased?

You'll need to purchase a frame and suspension with the pack, assuming you don't already have a set from another KUIU pack. You only need one frame and suspension, as the bags are interchangeable.

I think I'm going to stop buying products and wait a few years. You buy something today, tomorrow they announce they fix the problems-buy the updated version today. Cost too much to not do it right the first time. The zippers should've been done on day one.

Looks like you’ll never end up buying anything 😂
