- Police have arrested a 28 year old suspect accused of murdering a 6th year medicine student at the Moi university in Eldoret. Ivy Wangechi was hacked to death right outside the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret.

The problem in Kenya is that women are not treated as equals, the number of women who face sexual abuse, verbal and physical abuse is very high and yet we as men just sit and watch without acting, we need to look into ourselves and find ways of protecting our own, its a shame to see a governor who murdered a woman still holding on to his position, we have sukuli who raped his cousin but was still appointed to be an ambassador to china, our women have suffered enough, its time to act.

as is usual in Kenya people will look for a way to blame the victim, we are a society that never wants to deal with a problem, most men are very jealous and when a lady decides to move on they act like idiots, a woman has the right to leave you at any time, we need to grow up and stop this non sense.
No, you don't understand. This man sold his only inherited land to pay for his girlfriend's university FOR SIX YEARS STRAIGHT. She then decided to cheat on him, contract Aids and infect the boyfriend with the disease as well. She literally ruined this man's life when he was trying to build hers. But I'm not justifying what he did cause it was too extreme. She should have been more responsible and serious with her relationship. Don't just go blindly saying that women in Kenya are being victimized you have to understand the story.

Apparently she was hiv and she passed it on to the boyfriend. She was sleeping around from what I've heard. The suspect should be treated first, get counselling and then go on from there
Murdering someone isn't a solution, I was infected by someone I loved and trusted so much, it was the most painful thing in my life but I moved on to just let him know how am strong, killing puts you in more trouble than you think, now he is going to take drugs behind bars
