You’re so good that for a second there, I thought I could do this myself.

I'm waiting on Amazon to deliver my new Sending Unit for my 2000 Tracker TV-18. Gas gauge "seems" to function, so hopefully replacing the SU will be successful like yours!

The fuel sensors use “SAE 5-bolt” standard pattern. There is only one way to bolt it down. Good video sir. Well done

It’s easy to determine the ground wire by using an ohm meter. connect one lead from your own meter to the metal housing of your cinder and connect the other lead to the tip of one of the wires. The old meter will indicate a connection between the two when you have selected the correct wire. That will be your ground.

What’s the model number? Why won’t the Amazon generic models work? How much was the part?

I no longer have the model number handy. In my case, the aftermarket sending units did not accommodate the design of my fuel tank. I am sure you can find something close if you look hard enough, but the few aftermarket options I found would have provided me with very inaccurate fuel levels.

how long is the shaft on the new style

I don’t have an exact length for the shaft, however it was ordered through Tracker Marine as being the replacement for my boat. I am assuming they contract a company that builds to match their specifications. Just make sure that you are careful with the new screws that are provided. Sometimes, they are too long and then they bottom out when screwing into the captive nuts on the fuel tank. They could be a couple of millimeters longer and you think they are tight because the gasket is new. However, they are not really tight resulting in water penetration around the sending unit. Your best option is to reuse the existing bolts unless the new ones are exactly the same length.

What model sending unit did you replace with

I actually had to go through my local Tracker dealer. The worst part is that I looked at various manufacturers. However, it seems that Tracker must contract a manufacturer to make it to certain specs. I could not find one that matched up perfectly.
