Welcome to the Typing Test!!! I have always been a speedy typist, I credit it to years of playing piano. And Runescape. And talking on AIM. A lot of people have asked to see me type at max speed, so I decided to film it!! I don't think this will give a lot of you ASMR, but I find that I can definitely enjoy more aggressive/loud sounds every once in a while, so maybe it's your thing! Lemme know!
I do make a lot of mistakes when I type, but WPM accounts for how long it takes for you to fix your mistakes as well, so typing at 130 WPM with 90% accuracy is better than typing at 100 WPM with 100% accuracy, that's what I always say anyway!! Ha, ha...ha.....

Yeah. To use the typewriter back in the days you'd be a highly trained professional. I think I can managed it tho because I've tried typing and not making a mistake for an hour (set setting on monkeytype to fail when I make a mistake and when my avg wpm drops below 120wpm) although my avg is 142 I needed to lower the set speed to allow me to stop and think therefore avoiding mistakes.

I've been typing on a keyboard for like 25 years and although I can touch type... I'm basically only using my index and middle fingers 🙈 did you just teach yourself the proper finger placements or is there a class I missed! Amazing :D

You probs won't care but a few years back we had typing lessons to use our full fingers. We had to go on this website where you'd get tutored to use the right fingers. It annoyed all of us and we just used our index fingers 😂. But i was determined so I used all my fingers. But it was so hard to not. Look. At. The. Keyboard. 😂😂😂

That's why MX red switches are better than blue or all the shitty green and household ones that many keyboard makers are doing!
You should look up sound tests for custom builds. It gets much better than retail boards.
AverySegaw Except sound isn't what make it good or not. Plus specific switch need a long depress to "reload" the key. Plus customs still have specific switch just like any retail keyboard.

Dude 80 WPM is normal especially for a Laptop keyboard. With a mechanical one you get up there at like 150WPM.

Observations: - Arched fingers, very small movements, l/h is slightly supinated & fourth - finger hovering over the "A" key. 3rd finger on r/h only used for backspace. And you double - thumb the space bar! The wrist rest, mean's your fingers are bending at the profundus tendon, so there's less movement overall.

I actually never knew that fast aggressive typing can be more noisy than soothing. Guess I should've taken your disclaimer more seriously. At first I thought "no typing can be so loud that I'd have a hard time sleeping". I'd say you educated me well. It is however better and closer to the asmr category when I turn the volume down though.
