I was at RAF Honnington when the Buccaneers were transferred from RNAF to RAF. We painted the runway with makings to represent an aircraft carrier complete with arrester wire. It showed who were the RAF pilots and who were fleetairarm. The Navy fliers slammed the aircraft on the ground whilst the RAF pilots had difficulty picking up the wire.
The Spey Buccaneer in those classic FAA colours. It's bulbous area-ruled form, tamed and streamlined in appearance by finding that exact cheat line between contrasting colours. And that golden nose. Never again did Blackburn's swansong appear so beautiful. The realities of low level flight demanded more sober camouflage.
This video is ace, thanks for sharing!! I visited last year and they started Lindy (Victor bomber) up for the First time in two years! I’d have loved to see it in action like that, but hearing the engines still makes my ears ring now!!!
Thanks to the notice about this adresee ;-) Beacouse of an aviation funs from Kape Town from Sousern Africa - it's very good and pleasure, but I have a technical request to aviation experts who may located only in Aviation Museum.
That's another one I left it to late for a visit 😭would love to have seen the two lightnings going down that runway, fortunately we have this RUclips thing.
very nice, no one gives my fave british fighter jet any love tho............. the B.A.E jaguar............. love that damn thing, i flew one back in the 80's yes i'm ex RAF.......
THE VICTOR IS AN AMAZING ONE!!!!! BUT THE BOEING B-52 IS THE BETTER!!!!! THE B-52............WORKS AT HIGH ALTITUDE!!!!! THE VICTOR.............WORKS AT LOW ALTITUDE!!!!!
What a great selection, thanks for this👍👍👍 I was so willing that beautiful Victor to take off😂😂😂😂😂
This is Elvington not Bruntingthorpe 😉
Think perhaps you've replied to the wrong person?????@@philbedford8979
It’s a great place to visit, I have visited it several times from Canada.

It has to be very tempting to take off! Wonderful machines all -my favourite -has to be the Nimrod.

Nimrod the mighty hunter. Would be superb to see all those aircraft fly again.
2 minutes in didn't really appreciate it when they were flying.

THE HANDLEY PAGE " VICTOR " IS REALLY AN AMAZING AIRCRAFT!!!!!
They say 'seeing is believng' !
Just think the amount of people who would come if part of this fantastic collection was a Vulcan to go along with the victor..
Exactly we need some old pilots not bothered about flying anymore to do a A team type rescue. Q the music
Or a Valiant!
@@richardnewton9967 my thought, and less than 30 minuets away.
No chance of a valiant but would be a great home for 558
No valiant 30 miles away bro….try 130 Cosford
Superb video thanks for sharing liked*
Ian Stewart, thanks for the comment, glad you enjoyed it.
Richard Newton no problem
I was thinking of "space camp", what if the throttle sticks and they have to take off!!!!

Thanks for that.. If you look at almost 7 minutes the Victor lifts a bit of runway, all the staff went into Corporal Jones mode, don't panic

Sadly I can't see anything like this ever happening again at Bruntingthorpe.......now that its a massive car park.
