- So the new Polo GTI, stunning car, the Interior is a very lovely place to be, and the performance is somewhat decent. I have seen reports of people having all sorts of issues on these but this one has apparently been running perfectly.
On the downside, there isn't much in the department of sound, and the car is so smooth it kinda numbs the fun experience. It handles quite well though, and makes for an absolute perfect daily.

My 2019 model was offered to me @R370 000 and ended up with full spec and all add on's such as extended plans even smash and grab etc. for R498 000. The car is now on 57 000km's of hard abuse and its faultless but now full specs are R650 000 and so many electronic issues damn as well as the secondary cat added so no over run pops and bangs nor shift sounds

You most definitely correct they have 147kw, VW likes to do this as they claim we are in a hot weather area. So the cars instead get more cooling. This car from 0-100 i think the 6C can beat it, too much wheel spin in this one when accelerating.
You were not wrong. The SA version still pushes 147kw according to VW

Heard that the reason they didn't up the power output is because if they did, it means you lose the Vrrr Phaa sound. Don't know how true that is though
Its true, I have the UK version and it sounds terrible compared to the older models
I doubt that’s true, it wouldn’t make much sense if that was the reason.
I think it sounds terrible because of the fuel particulate filter.

Great content man, although this particular make has some backlash from some people who own these main issues are Infortainment system and the car sensors anyways I hope it’s just a few, otherwise it’s a great car, improved breaking system👌🏽
I heard the complaints, it’s unfortunate really.
Great video, just one tip, when you get a car for your video review, clean the car nicely inside, especially on the dashboard and screens, saw a lot of dust, and a cool drink can in the car! to make it shine makes the video just more attractive.... keep it going

@@embakubmotoring that’s strange! It sounds pretty good, you can also hear some pops and crackles from the exhaust. I have the same car in Italy and it sounds the half of this one 🤔
Are you aware that the car has both a Sport and Sport + mode, I also discovered that late, and it tends to sound better in Sport +
SA doesn't have opf only a secondary cat since the 2020 models

Definitely the best brand new performance car you can buy right now at 550k, the fact that polo GTI no longer has any direct rivals says everything and considering the golf 8 GTI is 800k it's definitely not 250k more of a car than this
I'm really not sure about that...there's so many other cars one can go for for the price of this new Polo GTI, one of which is the Mini Cooper JCW. On top of that there's reports of so many reliability issues...

He is being honest, crime is everywhere but in Jozi it is worse. The insurance premiums in Jozi are more expensive than in Bloemfontein for the same car because of high risk environment

It's not that expensive when you consider that the base C-Class is now over a million rand ,and a well speced bmw 318i will set you back almost R900 000.
