This video is so helpful. I learned something and this would have been sooo beneficial when I started in the workforce. Thanks for sharing this knowledge.
Hey..new subbie! I just posted about the fact about paying yourself first. And I LOVE getting the match..just FREE money! And an HSA is also Great! Great video! Xoxoxo-Mommy_Trader
This is such a great topic, I've actually learnt a lot. I wish Nigeria has such an organised financial system. P.s your family is so beautiful, God bless you guys.
Definitely sharing this with my family in the US. This is really good to know... I actually came here to actually watch Samuel take off the wig again🤣🤣🤣. But I’m glad I learnt something 💕❤️
This was very helpful you guys! I really like that we can invest in pre-tax and Roth 401ks at our employer. The match is a great benefit as well. Thanks for sharing:) -Britt
Its good to have a pre tax 401k as well. When I was in my late 20's I didn't work for 3 years and I was able to withdraw money from a previous traditional 401k tax and penalty free. It was tax free just because my income was soo low. Also @ 4:22 I cant find anything about the 2021 Max contribution being 19,650. I still think its 19,500.
Thats awesome! Having a 401k can definitely help when things don't go as planned. It is still $19500. I think we were getting a little ahead of ourselves there.
That’s so funny to think about what you knew about your 401k starting out. I knew nothing, just it’s a thing you have to put money into if you want to retire. You’re supposed to use it if you want to be a real adult. 😂

This is such an important topic! My godmother taught me about a 401k and it’s some of the best advice I was ever given!
That's awesome. We hope to be able to be like a godmother figure to other that might have been like us with no guidance whatsoever.

😂😂😂. This pretty much sums up most people!
You backed your baby 😍😍
I had no choice. Lol
I had to pull my 401k year's ago 😂😩 boy I regret it now.
Well its not too late to start again!
Sammy is too cute
Thank you!
And putting money in your 401k does not stop you from also saving money in a regular bank account for emergencies.
Thats very true. Emergency fund is the first step and then everything else follows.
That is what I don’t like about 401ks; in the end you have to pay taxes on it
That’s very true but at least the money grows tax free giving you more growth. Strategically taking the money out will reduce the tax burden.
