My surrender stage happened before I had a deeper understanding of what a twin flame was. The surrender stage, for me anyway, was a pivotal moment in our journey. For a few years leading up to that, I chased with a few glimpses of acknowledgement and reciprocation from my DM. Just when I thought we had a real break through, he went ice cold. That 'wall' was thrown back up, and I was knocked backwards. I was so hurt, the pain was absolutely terrible. I couldn't understand why he was denying our connection. There was no way that he didn't feel the same intensity that I felt. Eventually, after trying repeatedly to get through to him, I threw my hands up in the air and said to the universe and to my Twin (both figuratively and literally), "Fine, you win! I'm done trying." I withdrew my time, attention, and energy. I thought I did, anyway. Something in my heart didn't really believe it was done. I had always been someone who needed to be in control. That was due to years of attachment injuries and emotional wounds, both from this lifetime and previous ones. Looking back now, I can see it wasn't him I was done with... I was just done with trying to control what was happening. Over the next couple months, things began to change. My DM started to take down that 'dam', brick by brick. I didn't want to trust it at first, but slowly I did the same. We've been together ever since.

I feel like I am in surrender. I’m in communication in the physical. I don’t have any expectations or attachments to when he reaches out or what he says. It really is a beautiful process. I met my twin flame when I was 17, we didn't know why we were so drawn to each other and things flowed so naturally until we linked up again at 22 and 23 and a romantic expansion was added to our relationship. It was such a sense of familiarity between the both of us on a deeper level. Our separation technically started in February when my awakening had first started, but we broke up on the 2nd of April, and stopped contact entirely on the 3rd of May. I read somewhere that if one of the flames is married to a soulmate, they stay forever in surrender state: (re)focusing on themselves, focusing on being a better person and inner growth without a 3D union. So similar to my journey. I’m new to the concept of twin flames but I kept saying he was a mirror to me and I really did not like what I see. The separation was unbearable at first until I began to accept and focus on myself. This couldn’t have come at a better time. My twin and I have been in separation for 4 months and I recently have been in that back and forth confused energy. I experienced a dramatic energetic shift today that I can only describe as true surrender . It was all driven by the energy I am embodying and I am simply following the feeling that the energy is offering . I recently met my twin flame who like me is a narcissistic abuse survivor. We both experienced the same trials for a 10 year period but only difference is mine was more severe than his and I have spent 3 years trying to heal and learn how to cope, he’s only been free from his abuse for about 6months and has hyper anxiety needing constant affection and intense conversations about love and what’s going on in my head. Destiny, please do something about these annoying spams. The timing of this is true pure fate. I have been in this energy of just being chill about my twin flame. I have had several problematic zones of giving up. Being scared and then suddenly getting to the hopes all over again. I have felt it during that dark moon phase happening so fast. i realized that in surrendering i am also preparing for my true twin. i was distracted by a karmic trauma-bond narcissist masculine. and have found healing through cutting the chords to him..our soul contract has expired, so to speak...i feel ready for true union, whenever it will happen. for now, i feel liberated and free to have broken free from that toxic bond.

Ughh I relate so much, you put my situation into words!. I have a long list of red flags that make me question if this is actually my person, or if it’s worth fighting for. I’ve tried to release him but then he shows up in my dreams or stays in my thoughts 24/7. Every time that happens, I just tell myself not to worry about it. If it’s not happening right now, it’s because it’s not supposed to. We’re not in alignment with our person at the moment so we need to try and prioritize our own healing and building a strong foundation within ourselves. When the time is right and they finally come around, we’ll be able to build a relationship as two wholes, instead of two halves, and it’ll be better than anything we could’ve imagined. My surrender stage happened before I had a deeper understanding of what a twin flame was. The surrender stage, for me anyway, was a pivotal moment in our journey. For a few years leading up to that, I chased with a few glimpses of acknowledgement and reciprocation from my DM. Just when I thought we had a real break through, he went ice cold. That 'wall' was thrown back up, and I was knocked backwards. I was so hurt, the pain was absolutely terrible. I couldn't understand why he was denying our connection. There was no way that he didn't feel the same intensity that I felt. Eventually, after trying repeatedly to get through to him, I threw my hands up in the air and said to the universe and to my Twin (both figuratively and literally), "Fine, you win! I'm done trying." I withdrew my time, attention, and energy. I thought I did, anyway.
Something in my heart didn't really believe it was done. I had always been someone who needed to be in control. That was due to years of attachment injuries and emotional wounds, both from this lifetime and previous ones. Looking back now, I can see it wasn't him I was done with... I was just done with trying to control what was happening.
Over the next couple months, things began to change. My DM started to take down that 'dam', brick by brick. I didn't want to trust it at first, but slowly I did the same.
We've been together ever since.

I feel like I am in surrender. I’m in communication in the physical. I don’t have any expectations or attachments to when he reaches out or what he says. It’s not a big deal if we don’t talk or we do. I’m 3 years in and an ambitious Aries so I went through the longing, detaching, intense pain and trying to control the energy and the telecommunication. The night I posted my initial post my TF called in the middle of the night to tell me I make him happy and he left because he was afraid of commitment. He is still texting everyday. I’m keeping a level head. After my hopes being dashed so many times it’s not in me to have any expectations.

We aren't in communication at the moment, but I saw him a few days ago briefly. That evening waves and waves of love were flowing through me, just like a river. It was so beautiful. 💙
It really is a beautiful process. I met my twin flame when I was 17, we didn't know why we were so drawn to each other and things flowed so naturally until we linked up again at 22 and 23 and a romantic expansion was added to our relationship. It was such a sense of familiarity between the both of us on a deeper level. Our separation technically started in February when my awakening had first started, but we broke up on the 2nd of April, and stopped contact entirely on the 3rd of May. It took a couple rounds of deep deep understanding, two psychic confirminations and really connecting with my higher self and inner child to be able to surrender. I successfully surrendered last night, and now I truly understand what you mean by our connection in the 5D deepening and being able to identify triggers within yourself that are continuously being resurfaced by your twin flame. I read somewhere that if one of the flames is married to a soulmate, they stay forever in surrender state: (re)focusing on themselves, focusing on being a better person and inner growth without a 3D union. So similar to my journey. I’m new to the concept of twin flames but I kept saying he was a mirror to me and I really did not like what I see. The separation was unbearable at first until I began to accept and focus on myself. This couldn’t have come at a better time. My twin and I have been in separation for 4 months and I recently have been in that back and forth confused energy. There’s been a lot of mirroring going on the last month or so and this weekend I had an intensely spiritual experience where I could feel ourselves telling each other we need to surrender. I love her and miss her so much, but physical circumstances are keeping us apart. There is energy work that needs to be done on my part to allow the physical circumstances to be cleared. I experienced a dramatic energetic shift today that I can only describe as true surrender . It was all driven by the energy I am embodying and I am simply following the feeling that the energy is offering .
What happened is …after 2 years of being in this running and chasing mode w my DM ( he and I swapping roles of chasing and running), we have been experiencing separation w some contact and communication. This morning, I felt a strong energetic pull towards him and reached out to see him . I had woken up w heart ache and pain. He had been reaching out as wanting connection, so we made a plan to see each other . I was really looking forward to this connection all day . He ended up not showing up as was too busy and rescheduled for the morning . Almost immediately, I felt an overwhelming feeling of relief and disconnection… I did not respond bc I had no words to say . The energy within me , was guiding me to simply lay low… not angry , or even upset or frustrated that he didn’t show. I just felt a surrender to what is. Like it’s no big deal. Kind of incredible after how much I was looking forward to that connection all day. But what I found more incredible was then , later , guided ti this video. I recently met my twin flame who like me is a narcissistic abuse survivor. We both experienced the same trials for a 10 year period but only difference is mine was more severe than his and I have spent 3 years trying to heal and learn how to cope, he’s only been free from his abuse for about 6months and has hyper anxiety needing constant affection and intense conversations about love and what’s going on in my head. The timing of this is true pure fate.
I have been in this energy of just being chill about my twin flame. I have had several problematic zones of giving up. Being scared and then suddenly getting to the hopes all over again.
I have felt it during that dark moon phase happening so fast. i realized that in surrendering i am also preparing for my true twin. i was distracted by a karmic trauma-bond narcissist masculine. and have found healing through cutting the chords to him..our soul contract has expired, so to speak...i feel ready for true union, whenever it will happen. for now, i feel liberated and free to have broken free from that toxic bond.

It’s weird because I’m at the point I don’t even want him anymore and he said I had too many red flags and went away. I feel miserable and stuck, I just want to move on but for some reason He keeps popping up in my mind and I see his name several times a day and now I’m seeing him. I don’t know how much more I can take, I’m feeling broken and totally out of touch with any type of reality and I don’t know what to do 🤦🏾♀️😪
Ughh I relate so much, you put my situation into words!. I have a long list of red flags that make me question if this is actually my person, or if it’s worth fighting for. I’ve tried to release him but then he shows up in my dreams or stays in my thoughts 24/7. Every time that happens, I just tell myself not to worry about it. If it’s not happening right now, it’s because it’s not supposed to. We’re not in alignment with our person at the moment so we need to try and prioritize our own healing and building a strong foundation within ourselves. When the time is right and they finally come around, we’ll be able to build a relationship as two wholes, instead of two halves, and it’ll be better than anything we could’ve imagined. It’s not easy in the meantime tho, best wishes to you and I both
