If we get technical with it canonically the entity feeds off of fear and the survivors suffering so it makes sense that the entity wouldnt want you to kill them too quickly.
don't kill too quickly, don't do a single lethal blow, don't move around too fast, don't surprise people, don't be sneaky, don't let them heal, but also make sure you have to hit them twice, don't let them do their objective, but also use perks that provide little to no advantage in achieving that... It's great!

Seeing Scott do it with the previous system to get merciless (and adept by proxy) is painful because _somehow_ BHVR broke the adept achievements after 6.5.0 Getting Merciless with a Killer I never played is horrible, even more so with the new Survivor HUD that makes even SoloQ teams somewhat coordinated. And it's annoying that the shit system from before actually worked better than the current one XD
I got so lucky with my adepts. I tend to only play like 2 or 3 killers so my adept games were usually my first time trying the killer and I would go against people like your freddy game, trying dumb shit that get themselves killed. I'm bad at blight and got my adept because they all decided to rush the basement hook before I left (wasnt even trying to camp)
So i'm a survivor main and think the survivor emblems are more idiotic; I hate getting matches back to back where my score is the lowest on my team and I get four iri emblems. Game is basically saying "great job all of you, but the devs want killers to not feel sad ever so fuck you!"
I did Freddy's Adept with old Freddy back in the day. That was such a pain too. For those whe don't know: Back then Freddy had a completely different power. He could not hit you as long as you weren't in the dreamworld and you needed to put them asleep FIRST, which took 7s. No teleport, no snares/fake pallets. You had 0 defensive capabilities (insta unhooks were a pain, you could not grab survivors from gens/hooks etc if they were awake...). Also keys existed and the hatch appeared sooner, so even if 1 person was dead and all others on death hook at 1 gen left, they could all vanish through hatch with a key. There were god windows on some maps (basically most old maps with breakable walls had those), DS and DH, BT was even more of a pain. Yeah. It was horrible,

God, the editing gets more aggressive with every new video. Now we get an annoying red VFX on every hit (funnily enough thats a idea Behaviour tested once years ago, and everyone hated), we got slow mows on every lunge, overused stock meme sounds everytime Plaugue uses her power.
