It's really cool watching someone learn how to do something. As a drummer I just realized the proper way to hold a knife is almost exactly the same as the proper way to hold a drum stick...
You are SUCH a good teacher. Your knife lessons took me back to some of my earliest guitar and drum lessons, so many years ago. The grip, the posture, the movement, slow, speed comes with practice and all that.
Just made this for the first time. I found that the sauce didn't reduce much at all in the oven, so mine was too light, but the dish was excellent nevertheless. Very tasty, and with 2 hours in the oven the steak had absolutely perfect texture. 10/10 will make this again!
Tomato is a bit high in natural sugars but I eat them all the time on keto because they're very nutritious. One way around the slimy spinach is to use mature spinach instead of the baby stuff. Great job
Hey bro, love all your videos. Especially the pop up menu you did in New York, it was cool to see you guys make that happen. Love how informative and passionate you are
Just ran across this channel today. Already one of my favorite cooking channels. A lot of factual information about the recipe and good play by play without a lot of extraneous BS. Excellent channel.
Oh yeah.. made it two nights ago and it was amazing. Used a dutch oven like yours, and yes, the wine. Served mine with a side of penne with a ladle of that sauce. Amazing! Note to viewers: I only had canned crushed tomato's and with the parm on top and salting the steak, mine ran just a little salty. If using canned, use low or no salt tomato sauce. But no worries, we finished every bite! 2 thumbs up^^
Awww... He looked SO happy and excited with that parsley! Nice teaching! It's a skill of patience that not many people have. Especially when it comes to cooking! Nice job, Stephen!
I use to make this 30 years ago. I have never seen someone do a recipe on it before, but I have never searched it either. I am so excited to see how you do it.
26:50 says is gonna plate it, boards it haha, pretty cool, thats your brand now, like salt sprinkle from Salt Bae. Amazing channel and recipes! I'm binge watching everything!
Wasn’t going to watch because I already know how to make it but I’m glad you did. Your knife handling recommendations were a game changer for me. Never really thought of there being a correct or better way. Grazi!
Bro I’ve been watching for a while. Really appreciate the channel. Tbt I’ve not taken time to learn proper knife skills. Would love more knife work videos. This was very helpful my g
great job sticking with your weight loss program to your friend. great showing him the basics. you always do such wonderful job teaching me noy just telling.thankyou
Teaching kitchen skills is such a rewarding process. Something you know will benefit that person's overall health and happiness down the road. I don't know why we don't teach kids how to cook in public schools. It seems like one of those no-brainer life skills that is sadly missed (personal finance would be another lol).
My son graduated high school in 2013 and his high school actually had both (in one class...they still had home ec for a solid year, and it was required). He already knew how to cook, but he learned to sew and make a budget/balance the check book.
Another wonderful recipe, Steve. I admire your teaching skills - I couldn't be as patient as you clearly are. Those who find cooking a bore are clearly not creative people.
Looks great and is a heartier variation that I will try. However, I suggest people try this with a sandwich steak, braciole or cube steak as it was originally intended to be cooked with. In Italy, it is made in a pan, cooks faster and if cooked properly is tender and satisfying.
Is there a specific brand or type of cutting board that you have, also, how do you clean it after you present the dish on it? Love the channel and the food!
Looking forward to making this soon! It is going to be a definite crowd pleaser. I will add my own twists to it as well such as some olives in the sauce, more garlic, some honey, a chuck roast as the cut to braise and some tomato paste :)
I had a couple of ribeyes and some short ribs in the freezer, so I used those in this recipe. Absolutely fantastic! No knife needed to cut the meat, but I did need it to cut my broccoli. 😅
@@NOTANOTHERCOOKINGSHOW you've also pretty much educated me when it comes to perfection of especially italian dishes. When it's payday, expect a new patreon:)
The best part of this whole video is when Steve busts out the loaf of bread and says only time we are going to check it is when we dip bread in the sauce lmao. Will goes this is a keto video lol. So funny.
You’ve seriously made me excited to make dinner. I’ve always cooked but occasionally get disenchanted with the idea of getting my hands dirty. Thanks for reigniting my love of food.
This goes to show how important it is to have some level of cooking skills in life no matter who you are. You don’t need to be advanced it’s just knowing what you know and going at your own pace. My cooking skills aren’t perfect but judging by the positive feedback I’ve gotten from others with the food I’ve made for them, it’s definitely miles ahead where I once was which was ordering takeout every night.
You just need to wash the dishes a lot. Put warm water in a sponge with some soap, wash the dish off, and rinse it. If there’s a lot of dishes fill the sink with warm soapy water and wash the dishes in the water. You’ll get faster.
Your video's are great. I really enjoy them. Don't let the number of likes be an indicator of how quality the video is. I think you should be getting 5 times as many thumbs up! All your video's are really that good!
Hi Stephen - I made this for my family the other night (including spinach) following your recipe to a tee. As usual, your video and written instructions led us to a delicious meal. I am wondering if you had any recommendations for modifying the recipe in terms of ingredients, quantities, and especially cooking time/technique if one chose to use the same quantity and thickness of a different cut of meat, like a NY Strip or ribeye...appreciating that my Sicilian forbearers would have followed your more authentic recipe in terms of meat selection (as you point out at ~3:30). In advance...thanks.
Check out the video Will made! ruclips.net/video/ZeVv4VXd9Cc/видео.html
Hi! What kind of pasta would you serve on the side? Same sauce or different
WAS SO FUN FILMING WITH YOU!! Thanks for the amazing meal, you're too good at this!
Thank you Willett!! Had the best time. Can’t wait to see how your video turns out. Much love dude
Great watching both of you, I’m making this!!!!

Really nice.
I love how Will is really enthusiastic about learning. You're a good teacher.

Willet's ending made me smile. Thanks for the moment! And yet another thing to do w/my Dutch oven.

Was actually so wholesome watching the way you were teaching him. That's some fatherly stuff man, I'm not crying, you're crying 😢
thats actually a great way to teach about knife safety - situational awareness.

Never thought of pizzaiola as a keto dish since I usually eat it with lots of bread/pasta. Cheers from Italy

Thanks Ricki!
Great video
Excellent yum 😋
I sure would like to see you give some love to your cutting board, can you please show the care of the wood, and what you do to clean it
Love this video. I am on keto as well. I generally take people’s recipes and tweak them to fit. Great job!
GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!!!👍🏻👍🏻
You’re such a good teacher!
I am pretty excited for this one steve !!
It’s a good one
@@NOTANOTHERCOOKINGSHOW ya gonna watch it now brother
I've watched a lot of your videos but what I've identified with the most is the "That's how stupid I am" at 24:30, like same
Delicious man! Appreciate the recipes
That was it. The most precious quote in food video history. "A mandoline. Is that a brand or a country."
This is a great dish, I add a couple other things, but it pairs well with Sous vide Round or Flat Iron steaks
Aw my dad always made this, he died last year.
Thanx 4 recipe :) ur so talented and handsome !
Great job Steve.
Mmmmmm 😋 this is a must to make!!! Ty
Loved that you used avocado oil. I’m surprised you didn’t tell us that avocado oil has one of the highest smoking points.
We need more of these easy keto recipes
Wow I am definitely making this, with a nice pasta oh yes
1:30 bro thats the whole bullet flying, the casing drops out of the gun ehen fired :D
Super job man... making it as I type!
Great video. How bout next time you show one of you teaching us to wash dishes. I’m such a messy cook.

Alta Cucina canned tomatoes are really good from Restaurant Depot
This was so wholesome ❤️
This looks BOMB😳🤤
@20:53 is there a particular reason why you wanted ‘new oil’ instead of incorporating the beef fat into the sauce?
Great video! Should use a cheese stick to dip!

Hey ally! I’d probably sear the steaks first to get the crust. The. Make the sauce, the. Let the steaks finish cooking in the sauce
