Oil-producing Russia Cannot Buy Oil-mining Equipment

- Import substitution is a popular phrase in modern Russia, but the 'mighty gas station' country cannot produce oil-mining equipment itself. Modern technology is a real pain for the aggressor country as it is much more expensive to buy equipment after sanctions.

Not “unfriendly countries”, countries reacting to Russia’s unfriendly policies in Ukraine.
soviet butchery maquinations.
in ruzzia they're good, they're honest, they're caring
Yet their actions in Ukraine show they're evil, their blatant lies and their inhumanity
It might take a few years, but eventually Russia will end up in a right mess
It seems to in one right now.
They were in a right mess a few years earlier. Pootie got rid of the part of the russian constitution limiting presidential terms in summer 2021. Bungled invasions of Georgia in 2008. And so on.
The oil and gas drilling equipment Russia uses is almost all from the US. In fact, all oil producing countries use US made equipment because no other country has the know how to manufacture it. This is yet another indication that Putler reckoned with a short war, he thought it would be over with within a couple of weeks before the west had a chance to organise support for Ukraine.
Not quite! Heard of METSO (Finland), SANDVIK (Sweden), KOMATSU, ZANAM (Poland) FCB (France)? They all stopped any contact with the Z, even quicker than Caterpillar.
Happy to have lost my main market.
The United States is the original oil producer.
No doubt the Republicans are already arranging to send their pal putin all the equipment and components he needs....
@@FR-PL-UA-WARSZAWA It think different countries threatened those businesses with them being shutdown if they sold anymore equipment to Russia.
Get out of Ukraine and we’ll talk maybe
At some time....
50-70 years before any business done with russia
Not until the Russian Gederation dissolution. Nack with the province of Muscowy. The rest should be given to the different border countries.
If Mordor is so great and doesn’t need the western products… then replacing oil equipment shouldn’t be a big deal for Putrid and Mordor….I forgot what has Mordor ever created/made on its own without stealing from other countries…. Not a Damn Thing.
Give them nothing.
Give them nothing ever again.
@@crystalbluepersuasion1027 This would turn RuZZia into a Chinese satellite state.😂
@@ettoreatalan8303 Aren’t they 75% there already?
@@crystalbluepersuasion1027 Putin wants 100%.😉
1 dislike..must be Putin himself 😂
Putin. .... sanctions don't affect Russia.
Also putin - I remain a strategic genius.
Ooopsie daisy! Not to worry, use some picks and shovels.
All the good news.
And a lack of skilled people to do the work
Aww shucks. Keep up your courage, relentlessness and cautiousness Ukraine. Stay strong and resilient - you will prevail!!! 🇺🇦💙💛🇺🇦
Who could have guessed... 😜
I know, right? Who would have thought the nations making such things would cut russia off at the well head? Certainly not little putin. LOL!!
I'm curious about the ruzzian use of the description "unfriendly countries" to mean nations that don't agree with its imperialist habit of invading its neighbours to impose its criminally unworkable world view on functioning nations. The description would seem to encompass virtually all of the free world, where ruzzia's persistently belligerent and thoughtlessly cruel conduct is condemned. Слава Україні 🇺🇦 from 🇦🇺
I think they mean anyone that won't roll over for the mighty russian ministry of stolen toilets & repeat everything putin says.
Indeed. Thank you. Heroyam slava. 🇺🇦
I wonder if little putin will at least be able to hold on to the Grand Duchy of Muscovy as the federation breaks up?
Great News..
Whoops.
Theres some things russia cannot get:
- Heavy Drilling Equipment for Oil and natural Gas
- Turbines and Turbine Maintainance for Power Plants
- Transformators >10MW
- Big Elektrik Motors, >1MW for powerplant feedwater and Powerplant Combustion
- and many heavy industrie applications more
No maintanance since 2 Years now, results will kick in soon
What a shame keep up the good work countries with a spine
they reap what they sow.
grande noticia!
Finally a positive sanctions story - thank you for reporting it, even if positive news are not as good click-bait as negative news.
The world is a wonderful place!
Dear Russia. As you are a country with highly trained and skilled people. Developing these parts and components for the oil industry should be extremely easy. It is the western world that is far more technologically advanced, and so if you ever decide to make friends with them, then maybe Russia would be a different country then.
Sounds like Good News to me!
Weak, decadent Western tech? 😂
indeed!!
I'd even say weak, decadent and queer Western tech...🌻🌻🌻
That's what happen when a 3 days war becomes a 3 years war.
They can just use some of their millions of men to dig it out by hand
Sounds like fun!
Could ask Chinese to make some for him. They are masters in reproducing stuff they didn't invent. That the quality sucks is just a detail.
Good news!
💙💛💪👍👐🙌👏👍
Ask the guys who developed the T14 Armata platoons to develop parts (they put taxpayers money to good use). If they are not available the guys who developed a "Hypersonic" Kinzahl is available. Otherwise the guys who developed the squadrons of SU-57 "Stealth" fighters might do it.
Yeah, it ought to be easy and quick to develop an entire industry using labor, capital, and expertise that you don't have and can't obtain.
@@cymeriandesigns exactly
Suprise❤
Extracting oil economically and without jeopardising the reservoir is an art. This is a mixture of using cutting edge equipment and expertise. Russia will probably screw this up. However, there is good news for Russia with production dropping off it will overcome their oil storage problems.😂😂😂😂😂😂
Same with aircraft. You cannot just “make” replacement parts. You cannot just “make” computer upgrades. You need the authentic and verifiable replacement parts. You need the appropriate upgrades or the aircraft become dangerous.
709 days into a 3 day war.
"Oil-producing Russia Cannot Buy Oil-mining [sic] Equipment" -- "drilling"
Directional drilling is very high tech.
Oh well . . . I'm sure the dim wit Pooter will counter all this in his next interview. All problems will be solved when he starts quoting 'historical' events from the 10th & 14th century. LOL!!
At least they have highly advanced intercontinental ballistic missiles *winkwinknudgenudge
Ha Ha ! pukin got stuffed again
If you want to drill for oil, you need an American, usually a Texan. Some of them are wildcatters and they know how to accordion when the price changes. And they even know how to put out oil well fires. Look up Red Adair and watch the movie about how it's done.
Yes a nice movie but the Russians will be fine without foreign equipment there a lot of tinkerers as well
@@goenzoy712Those tinkerers caused biggest accident of world history.
@@goenzoy712, noone in Russia has the time nor the resources to "tinker" with Inconel 718 steel. We're talking about parts & assemblies made with metals that the Russians simply can't forge because they don't filter their inputs to the degrees necessary for ultra-high purity steel & other alloys.
The oil business is very physically destructive on its equipment. Stuff breaks all the time out here, particularly when you're mining that far North. We're talking about an industrial environment that gets so cold that our workers can work outside only in 15 to 20 -minute shifts because 30 minutes outside might freeze one or two of our fingers or our noses off.
We don't have time to swap damaged parts out, over & over & over & over, because parts weren't made to their necessary, sufficient strength, & I doubt the Russians do, either. That's why they & everyone else buy North American -made oil field products, pipes, sensors, servos, hoses, joints... Hell, even our bolts are the top ISO standard.
Some excellent substitutes can be found in Western Europe, Japan & South Korea. Brazil & Mexico are also starting to slowly make their way into the oil field products manufacturing sectors with some very solid work.
But all those manufacturers are closed to Russia. You think Mexico wants to sell stuff to Russia in defiance of its largest trading partner, America? You think the Germans are going to, knowing that just last Winter the Russians were filming propaganda ads that celebrated the possibility of Germans freezing to death? The Japanese & South Koreans hate the Russians' guts, not to mention they honor Western sanctions.
That leaves China. Good luck relying on them & their "tofu dregs" shoddiness.
I'll be totally honest here. Russia CAN make some of the things you need for an entirely new oil field, but they'd need to flush one or more of their larger blast furnaces, start filtering their inputs including water & air, cast new crucibles, flush their coke furnaces... basically reform, refit & restart an entire steel production line. That will take longer than 1 Year. They don't have that kind of time. Parts are already breaking now, & with Ukraine now attacking refineries & distro networks, they may not have the resources or the people to do this work.
Great news! Sottty, putin.
HAHA "points"
deal with china
Putin won't freeze
Maybe he won't be beaten to death by his own people
Unless something changes by 2030, their hydrocarbon extraction will have been destroyed or broken down😂😂
America oil is in the states of Texas and Alaska. We are a very oil Rich country and the first to refine oil. Gasoline was originally a bi-product from manufactured caraceen used in oil lamps. that had no use at all. We invented the auto mobile, the air plane , Trane's electricity the internet and many other things.
Have you heard of Karl Benz? He invented automobile. Wright Brothers were not only people dabbling with heavier-than-air flight. Louis Bleriot made some real important milestones. Train was invented in Great Britain and Italian invented electricity. A Briton made electricity something that can be used.
@@vksasdgaming9472 He has probably heard little of 'America'. You meant the US, right user?
@@NemesisoftheGrandPoohbahputin Funny sounding 'American' to me.
He seems to have forgotten about all that new oil found in the Dakotas. Maybe he meant Uruguay. They are Americans too. But a troll wouldn't know that sitting in St. Petersburg.
I'd think a proud American would know the spelling of kerosene.
Ukraine retired people are poor they have no money for food. Goverment pays only 68 usd monthly. Ukraine people trying to escape. Ukraine need more misslie weapon and money but usa and europe cancelled to send more money and weapons. if there is no help ukraine will not be able to fight against Russia after 2024 they will have no more weapons and no more money. Russia is waiting and Russia is gonna WIN.
What ship defence doing?
OH!! GOOD!! Blaytistan will finally WIN that free trip to the Hague they have been promised so long. The rest of your fantasy is very amusing there, Sparky. I wonder of Pooter will try to keep the Grand Duchy of Muscovy once the russian federation start to break up? But like you said Pooter will probably be in the Hague by then anyway.
They may buy from third countries
Much of this is custom made for each oil field. So good luck with that & no skilled labor to set it up.
loool... 🤣
Ridiculous. Get a life.
Posting propaganda for pity party putin . . You might take your own advice.
😂😂 😂😂😂 but they can buy electronic equipments for the arms they use agianst you.
This means ukrain is just a pawn for the west😂😂😂😂this
But they can’t afford a dictionary.
At least as told by one of putin's troll anyway.
It would be interesting to see you put two unrelated thoughts together like that & say one 'means' the other. Interesting disjointed thinking there, Shafiu.
