- Memorial Day weekend has always been big for the movie industry. This year, we were given the choice of Warner Bros.’ Furiosa or Sony’s Garfield. It turns out neither was able to get people to the movies --it was the worst-performing May slate since 1995 and the release of Casper. There has been a lot of debate about whether the industry has rebounded from the ‘20 and ‘21 COVID years, but I’m starting to ask: is Hollywood in trouble?

The movie industry needs an avenue for low risk bets.
RUclips creators have that - if one video flops it isn’t expensive
I reckon companies like Sony need an avenue to make 10x stories for $2M a piece, see if the story is compelling enough to succeed in social medias…
Then invest heavy if it is.
