- Closed cell spray foam is a fantastic option for air sealing and insulating your garage build or home build. In order to prepare the job site for spray foam we need to clean the stud bays and prevent against spray foam over spray during spray foam installation. I hope you enjoy today's episode. I know it’s wood frame, but will you be adding any additional backing to your walls prior to spray foam for your tv or your EV charge so it’s solid? Upper cabinets. Sometimes it’s great to put additional backing in for some areas.
Great question! Adding blocking is critical to support appliances like EV chargers, TVs, Pressure washers, Hose reels, and vacuums.
Since I'm only doing 2" of foam in the 6" cavity, I'll be able to add blocking after the sprayfoam is completed. Adding blocking afterwards also makes it easier on the spray foam installation.
I'll do treated lumber and exterior blocking for the outdoor TV.

Hi Nice to see a big build of a futureproof garage here. But there is something annoying on your lasted videos i dont know if you have change your settings of your camera or add some lights on but now the colors are complety washed on white. thats happen on #7 and after. See you better on the next video 🙂
The snow on the ground outside tends to oversaturate the white balance. Thanks for the suggestion. I will try to see what I can do for the next video. Spray foam is going up today so that might help.

Putting packing tape on all wall studs is absolutely unnecessary.
