The next two missions are in the KV-1S. Enjoy slightly better armour, better crew ergonomics, better visibility, and the exact same main gun with slightly more ammo.
your t34 is a official, like a sergent, because it have a radio, the other t34 dont have radio, that significate what so many of t34 are incommunicated, and another curious thing is that the t34 that were produced, (this is an example) in the east of moscow, did not have the same parts as the t34 produced in the west of moscow, so if a t34 was damaged the best was to ask for another t34, although only 15% of the crews survived, the crews also said among themselves: "haven't you burned yourself yet?" this was because it was very easy for the ammunition to explode

The command tank would have a different, more powerful model, which would allow it to communicate with other elements that are farther away. The lack of radios has nothing to do with rank: it was a result of a shortage of radios on the ealier stages of the war
Fun video to watch yet again. Great series. One suggestion however; you are a platoon commander. It appears you have been commanding three tanks total. When getting in combat, you need to bring your other tanks into a line abreast formation when attacking so you can bring all guns to bear towards the enemy. As it stands from what I could see, you were basically attacking in a column formation with only your tanks' gun to bear towards the enemy. Experiment with the formation commands for your platoon and again, remember when attacking towards an enemy you want to have all guns of the formation pointing towards the enemy. Do that and cut your platoon loose and see how they do.
BTW, if you turn autopilot on in the driver’s seat, your driver will just automatically move to waypoints. Great for long journeys, but remember to turn it off in combat.
IL2 is so nice looking. The explosion is great also. Would love to see the smoke and dust remain for 2-3mins after. Hard on the GPU, but it would add so much imerssion to the game. Namely when using VR.

That is basically my reaction to every AI death I've ever taken in War Thunder tank fights. I guess Gaijin aren't the only ones to fail at solving the age old problem of the AI having the ability to shoot you from multiple kilometres away, through totally blind cover, with perfect accuracy, while on the move. You just kinda have to dump your emotional coolant rods and hope for some AI tuning in the next patch. Just be glad it isn't F2P (I have strong opinions on War Thunder) Keep up the series, man! For the most part the AI spotting through bushes in IL-2 isn't too bad. They have been working on fixing this. I guess trees are a different story. The game is early access so I am not too hard on it :) I have been having a blast. (Pun Intended) Thank you for your kind words!
Oh I have! I've been killed by many a tree in the Arma series. I guess I was just referencing the Russian proclivity for hardcore military flight simulation with aspirations(delusional?) to also be several OTHER types of military simulations, as well.

3 hours of driving then 5 minutes of a battle...
As in ARMA 3 I suspect that the AI can see through bushes and foliage. 🤔
Looking back at the replay I think that is what happened as well...
Superior German optics ignore bushes and trees.
Or it just track the source of your bullets
Isn't that in most games though? More modern games are trying to counter that but there is still a lot of see through bushes that the AI ignores
