THE BEST COVER OF AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE & THE MOTHER OF METAL
Sabbath was my 1st concert, about 72 at the Forum in LA. They were the 2nd act before Grand Funk, J. Geils opened (as I recall). About 5 minutes into their set I turned to my homeboy Gil and said, "These dudes are pretty good!"
I feel sorry for kids these days, but am super grateful I came up in the time I did.

I was just thinking the same thing, expecting something Gibson-esque into something Marshall-esque or Orange, and it’s a Strat body in a Fender amp, and it’s muddy as hell and I loved it!
You guys nailed the way everyone lays back into the groove. Everyone I see playing it kind of loses the sludge groove. Spectacular job! Rock on!

Wow….You guys are amazing! The guitar tone and drums and bass playing and vocals! Just…wow! If I could add one comment, the vocals are really really good, and it might just be my ears, but on the record Ozzy seemed to have a little delay echo in his vocals. If you added just a bit of delay on your voice, I don’t think I could tell the difference between you and the record. Again…really well done!
