Yes, that's a challenge. I have a whole section devoted to just that in my MH buyer program. That landscape has changed considerably in the current cost(s) environment.
I have done several with more on the list. North Ft Myers, Punta Gorda and a home in Bradenton among others can be found here: www.youtube.com/@RussellWatsonFMHL/videos
How’s the lot rent situation? Been observing local media Florida reporting severe lot rent increases affecting residents in many of these communities…..
There certainly are a few communities that have experienced that but I'm guessing most are averaging around 5% or less. That's a lot less than I see at the grocery store!
Almost every park has a few but they are usually scooped up by returning renters or friends/relatives of residents. Best bet is to get on the phone with park managers from the area of interest and let them know you are looking. You can also check out links on my website for agents. www.floridamfghome.com/
Sort of...Age discrimination (example, adults with children) is not allowed unless the park qualifies under the 55+ rules. But, that rule says 80% of the homes must be occupied by at least one resident over 55. The rules applied to the other 20% are up to the park owner. Many 55+ parks have a minimum age allowed to live in the park and this results in an "Adult Only" park. I'm sure there are also a few parks that just play by their own rules as enforcement of 55+ is pretty limited.
@@RussellWatsonFMHL in all fairness, we currently live in a suburb of Seattle where people complain on the rare days it hits 85. Not much humidity either. We are spoiled. I know there are a lot of people who aren’t bothered by heat and sticky humidity. Not for us.
@@craigjorgensen4637 LOL, I lived in Seattle for 5 years. We used to pray all summer for a sunny day at 85. And most of the winter just for a sunny day.
Thank you for another great retirement information and living life in florida enjoyment...❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Always enjoy your videos - Will be glad when we figure out what area we want to be in so that we can start looking at specific parks!

Do you show videos of communities on the west coast?

Thank you very much!
Are there such parks that are adult only but not just 55 plus?

Do any of the communities have a gun range as an amenity?
No but quite a few have one nearby. This is Florida.
The Florida heat and humidity would be intolerable for us!
Sorry to hear that. I actually found it no worse than summer in CT and I live fairly south in Florida. The northern sections are noticeably cooler.

@@RussellWatsonFMHL some people can’t stand the grey days! We can’t take the heat so everyone is different!
