Hello folks, let me tell you an owners take on polo. i have been driving POLO TDI 1.2 confortline from past 8 years (2011 model) and i feel proud to own it. This is a mini Audi hatch, you get parts with audi sign that means same parts are used in Audi cars, of course VW is parent to Audi. But talking about the car performance, as soon as you push paddle to kick turbostart... it flies...you feel a push backwards... car zameen se chipak ke chalti hai.... driven it maximum to 180km/hr speed and feels like driving on 100 km. Steering is so smooth that i can rotate it with 1 finger. Yes the cabin space is less but this is not a family car... this is an enthusiast car, who likes low riding fast car with premium feel. This car is so strong that you actually feel the heaviness in the doors while closing... only premium segment cars feel. Yes the maintenance is high, i pay 11k every year on annual maintenance from VW workshop (p.s. dont take it to local mechanic they will ruin your beautiful car because they will not have right tools ), but please note till date there is no other cost incurred except tyre change at 60k km and time belt change at 90k km. Sound system is the best( no need of woofers) decent one. This car's only drawback is its cabin space, people with height more than 6 ft will face problem adjusting. otherwise you are getting a chance to drive German engineering in this price is great deal because German cars are best in the world. Polo has always been the simplest and the best looking hatchback in India! Same goes for the interior!
the reason for it's demand is the performance of the car the engine is smooth & punchy & it is 3 cyclinder engine it deliver s 113 ps power & 250 nm torque as compare to other cars
I own a polo I thought all cars have these simple features 😀 now I know Polo is special and if I upgrade it should be VW

Very nice people, when my uncle was posted in Punjab during 1990s who was an IAF Capt. and we had to travel in a taxi and the taxi driver recognized that my uncle was in forces and didn't take money from us. He stopped for a chai and he was refusing to take money from my uncle either. My uncle forcefully had to give money but they didn't take a penny. I am from south and this was the experience that I had from Punjab and the conversation in the end reminded me of that incident.

Perfect sir ! Our family has had a vento 2011(with streeing mount control) and a 2016 vento + a honda jazz 2016(petrol) . Our vento is absolutely one of the best in the segment , the diesel even though it is old , it is very loud(externally) but it is very nice to drive/rev ! This car is one of the most under rated , ppl buy ciaz n verna but i bet that once they drive this for a while they would agree this is a lot fun .. Drive characteristics , handling etc is the best in the segment ...
Ps both the ventos are diesel manual
My dad drives the vento n he loves it , he was a fiat uno n zen fanboy yet he likes the vento , this says a lot about the car

Volkswagen being a German company usually tunes cars more suited for highways.. considering their unrestricted Autobahns.. so most of these hatchbacks and sedans can easily cruise at 180-220kph with no issues
100-150 kmph speeds is just a cakewalk for these German hatches.

Hello Bhaji, i am the owner of polo 1.5l comfortline.
As you said, it gearbox is heavy, it is because of the locking mechanism of gears. If you have chance to drive this car again, check that gear is locked as gear is not getting shifted without operating clutch while driving as well as static.
The average you said is 18-19kmpl. I got 25kmpl on highway and 18-19 kmpl in city.
Proud to be a VW owner and next will aslo be VW.
@38:00 this engine makes more sound compared to others because it is a 3 cylinder engine which gives better millage compared to 4 cylinder for a particular cc, but at the cost of more noise and vibration compared to 4 cylinder. I have a Fabia, but I think new Polo (Diesel) will have better refinement compared to 10 yrs old same engine.
Anyways, paaji, awesome explanation. I really like the way u explained. Though I own it's brother, still watched it fully.

High speed stability is exceptional and you are so right its much better then cars a segment above this .. its a TDI can say old technology compared to CRDi which is used in i20 and verna .. which is little refined and more economical .. Polo is awesome ..

I am going to buy used polo petrol.
@@chiragarora8719 for city I get from 12kmpl to 15 kmpl depending on the traffic and my own driving manners, for highway i get 15mpl to 20 kmpl if i drive between 100mkph to 120kmph.
I never got below 11kmpl however bad i drive or worse is the traffic also not more than 22KMPL.
I enjoy driving it more on highways due to its high speed dynamics and ability to cruise on speeds at 120 plus for long hours.

Figo 1.5 or polo 1.5 diesel which is more stable and fun to drive?
My polo 1.2 tfi gives me 24 kmpl with Ac in mix conditions. i have claimed max 31kmpl from pune to Mumbai light footed. polo is 😍

Actually All four doors can be opened from inside without unlocking the car, but can’t be opened by outside. VW POLO 1.5 TDI HL owner since Dec. 2015.

hi sir, I'm Planning to buy a seconds VW Polo 2014 Diesel with 35000 Kms. My use will be only on weekends. Will it give any problem if I don't take out the car even for 1 month. For How many Kms more can I use the Diesel car ? Can I purchase it , Please suggest price ?

nice work paaji but you have missed few things , like the rear locks are not driver controlled they can be opened by anyone sitting behind if there is no child lock enabled. this is due to safety feature if an accident occur and the driver is dead the passengers sitting behind can come out easily. and the driver seat can be easily pushed forward and , i haven't seen a minus so far driving since 6 years plus 1 lac kms driven already

26:43 Paaji ek suggestion hai: despite your comfortable sitting spot, your seat is inclined wayy too much. That is not safe, even if it is comfortable. Seat ka back part thoda aage lean kar lijiye, that enables a better grip on the steering and also facilitates quick manoeuvres in emergency situation.
