Exactly right. They'll never say the best kicker or offensive lineman of all time is the goat because they realise the impact has to matter then say players in the flash positions just because they're the more popular choices even tho none of them match the quarterbacks importance
Yeah, the real difficulty is that kickers and QBs (especially now) are basically playing a different sport than everyone else. How's do you compare them to the more "footballish" positions? It's like comparing a designated hitter to a pitcher to a shortstop.

Nick did a pretty good job of dismantling Chris argument at the end there. Sports isn’t all about athleticism, if it was, there would be a different dynamic to what we’ve seen in sports history thus far.
As good as he was, I’d swap out Reggie White for either Deion or Barry Sanders. Probably two of the most kind-blowing players to watch in sports history.
Rice. Then Taylor then Brady. End of discussion. Like Chris said, he’s so much better than any other receiver it’s not even close. Chris made the best argument I’ve heard in a debate show in a while. All facts.
I do not care about All Pro. However I do think it’s difficult to compare guys from entirely different positions. Brady like the greatest middle officer in an army, and Barry Sanders was like the greatest special forces guy.
Athleticism is one aspect of being a football player. Bottom line is Tom isn't the most athletic but he's miles ahead in other areas and that's why he wins rings on demand.
The one time I disagree with Nick Wright. I can't have him in a goat conversation. The many questionable calls gone his teams way, and Spygate. The media will try and sweep it under the rug but I refuse. With that said I have 3 QBs ahead of Brady: Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. I'm not giving Brady anything on recency bias or the fact that the teams he was on accumulated 7 chips.
Are you serious with Broussard over Marshal?? He’s talking about a combine style physical to see whose the best football player..but for NBA he talks about rings just not when Brady does it in football which is much harder. PS I’m so glad Wilde’s called the stupidity out at the very end

In order for a receiver to break Rice's records they would have to have his work ethic and be able to player at a high level for 20 years. I don't think it will ever happen.
These debates about who the best is and Mount Rushmores are just entertainment - it makes a good topic for a sports show. This isnt a math equation or perfect science - its opinion based with the opinionators trying their best to convince others who dont agree with them to concead and see things the way they see them. Case in point - I think Thomas Edward Patrick Brady is a friggin awesome quarterback with his physical gifts combined with an awesome football mind - and leadership qualities. By all metrics, he's the best. But...... he's been playing football for the past 12 yrs with the league protecting players that play his position. His predecessors did not enjoy such protection - therefore it's very difficult for me to give him the throne. And I dont much care who disagrees with me - it's just my opinion and I certainly do not think its gospel, or the truth. It's just my small view of things.
greatest competitor, greatest football player, greatest in position, greatest leader, greatest team mate are NOT the same because they’re not measured the same. Tom isn’t the best athlete, I’d argue he’s not the best leader, he is the best QB all around, he’s probably not the best team mate (that doesn’t mean he’s a bad one) he’s among if not the best competitor in football… he’s certainly not the inarguable best football player ever, that list includes Rice, Walter Peyton, LT… maybe Barry Sanders even, they’re all on the very short list.
I agree with Broussard, like Kevin brought up, even if mahomes won't reach 7 sb he'll be looked at as the goat because of the eye test, and success. And if we're going to look at qb stats Matt Ryan is on pace to break some all time records so I don't think you'll be able to use that argument too long. Because the way they throw it now mahomes most likely will pass him. Brady will have the wins imo but also manning has a winning record against Brady in the playoffs also a point nick got wrong. I think it's rice because nobody is close in a different era and has the accolades to go with it
Broussard criteria "eye test" doesn't make since. He is actually refuting his own point about Jerry Rice by no metric during that era of football was Rice ever considered the best athlete. He was just a master of the WR position. Doesn't drop the ball, understands leverage/angles, counter moves, route running and unbelievable endurance. That's Rice.
Nobody is touching my list..LT by a landslide then Jim Brown, Jerry Rice and then Timmy Tebow (could have) been number 1 if he didn’t get cut this year.
The answer is pretty simple. If you have one game in your life that you need to win, and you can only choose one player. The only answer is Tom Brady. The only thing that matters is winning, no he may not be the prettiest passer or the most athletic. But he is one of the greatest leaders of all time. Complete competitor and also one of the clutchest players ever. Intangibles matter, and winning at the end of the day is the only thing that matters.
Not at all. Players get put in different situations. There can't be a goat in football. It's 22 guys on the field at a time and they effect the game in many different ways. They say winning cures everything but I can name several QBs you can put on those same teams in the last 20 years that can do what he has done and more.
Prime time should definitely be on the list but Tom Brady is the best we have ever seen. Sorry but that man has done it all. Prime time was born with natural ability. This is the way I see it. QB is the most important position in football, today and yesterday, and tomorrow. The controversy of whether or not TNT is the best football player goes like that: Those who played football and recognizes how hard is to accomplished what Brady has done, then those are aware of the reality today. The ex-players that argue the opposite, they are Jealous. And the others that did not play football and get into an argument we are just dom. I think TNT BRADY is the BEST. Let the records; yes the records do the talking: How many players active or ex-players can talk about the RECORDS that TNT Brady is holding today, and the ones he will break in the future. NO ONE.
Depends on what you mean by great. He's got the most achievements and his win percentage and Superbowl appearance percentage are unreal. Based on that he is the greatest. Most talented? Changed the game? Not as much. Still legendary but not the clear and obvious number 1
We’re really still debating if TB is the goat? You could cut his career in half and he’d still be top 3 all time And by Broussard standards Taysom Hill is the greatest qb of all time
Payton has a winning record against Brady in the playoffs so nicks assessment just falls apart right there (3-2) and two of the those wins were for the AFC Championship.
Commenting on Broussard's answer.. The Quarterback is the most important in football. Also didn't Jerry rice play in the era of no cap? If you take everything into account, Brady is the best ever. There are so many reasons but I don't want to write an essay

So he's the most clutch and plays the toughest position but isn't the greatest? Lmao LBJ stans stay embarrassing themselves.
Randy Moss and Dan Mario. Best athlete and best arm.
Broussard “Tom Brady can’t block, catch, or rush the passer. No way he should be number 1”
That’s a fact tho is it not🤷🏽♂️
Yes it's a fact... but all those other his can't command SUPERBOWLS...
BRADY can click his fingers and create a Superbowl..
All those others can't...
So it depends do you like winning? Then it's Brady..
If you like winning less, then maybe it's one of the others..
@@Ttcw89 It makes no sense to judge him by that criteria though. He's a QB. Brady's blocking and rushing skills are as irrelevant as his ability to play basketball.
@@K767-o1t what do you mean by that? That could happen to LeBron James.
James Nelson Yeah but a basketball player is expected to perform both in attack and defense. Football is way more compartmentalized. You would never take a quarterback over another cause he was better at blocking, cause his blocking won’t ever matter.
THANK YOU Chris.
Deion Sanders, Calvin Johnson, Barry Sanders...
Um no
most dominant ever '' TB 12 ''
I need Reggie White somewhere in there. That man could move an entire side of an offensive line with his forearm.
I think Brady is the best QB of all time by a mile, but the correct list should be LT, Jerry Rice, Brady, Prime, Jim Brown.
Athleticism is one aspect of being a football player. Bottom line is Tom isn't the most athletic but he's miles ahead in other areas and that's why he wins rings on demand.
QB should be separated like pitching in baseball
The one time I disagree with Nick Wright. I can't have him in a goat conversation. The many questionable calls gone his teams way, and Spygate. The media will try and sweep it under the rug but I refuse.
With that said I have 3 QBs ahead of Brady: Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. I'm not giving Brady anything on recency bias or the fact that the teams he was on accumulated 7 chips.
Deion and sanders and bo jackson both played in the MLB and the NFL at the same time and was good at both st the same time. Im going with those guys
Cuz they played baseball they’re the best football players ever? Lmao… nice take
Well geez I didn't Even Know That look Like Michael Jordan isn't the only guy I know who play both league Sports. (NBA & MLB)
If they used his standards for basketball for football, it’s Tom easily. Combo of personal stats and team winning
Just to answer that question though. Let me know if you can think of someone else. But. I feel like it’d be hard to beat 22 Calvin Johnson’s
Depends on who you ask. Titan fan says Derrick Henry is greatest player of all time.
Agreed and he Gonna Lead His Team of Music City To The Super Bowl This season at Los Angeles and it will be a Treat to hear.
Are you serious with Broussard over Marshal?? He’s talking about a combine style physical to see whose the best football player..but for NBA he talks about rings just not when Brady does it in football which is much harder.
PS I’m so glad Wilde’s called the stupidity out at the very end
I’d put Barry Sanders over JB. Imagine if Barry played during Jim’s ERA. He’s my GOAT.
Emmitt Smith was better than Barry.
@@hitek9too255 No he wasn't.
@@hitek9too255 not even close
@@Loganbub How many Superbowl titles and MVPs do Barry have?
@@hitek9too255 aside from QB’s we don’t judge football players off rings because their is so much out of their control compared to basketball. It’s also the argument of simpletons , like yourself, even when talking about basketball.
Chris Broussard gave that 2 minute soliloquy and didn't mention Prime Time.....thats all I need to know....
Brady is the best and it’s not even close, same Argument with Jordan rings speak for themselves no one will ever accomplish what he has
Rings are important but they can't be the main criteria in a team sport.
@@jeromepowell1873 well they drive jordan’s argument
Jerry Rice is a beast no doubt. But look at his number with and without a HOF QB. It helps when 2 HOFers are throwing ya the ball. LT was a beast as well. Hard convo to have. My personal favorite is Bo Jackson 💁😆He doesn't get the same credit as Jim Brown but was just as good but faster
Nick actually gave a good take.
greatest competitor, greatest football player, greatest in position, greatest leader, greatest team mate are NOT the same because they’re not measured the same.
If Brady is lacking all this atributes, isn't that make his acompleshiments more meaningfull? I really like Chris, but that take doesn't work for me.
It’s weird watching Chris Broussard talk about football.
How is this a debate? Most accomplished player by a long stretch.
Nobody is touching my list..LT by a landslide then Jim Brown, Jerry Rice and then Timmy Tebow (could have) been number 1 if he didn’t get cut this year.
Tim Tebow ???
I'd take Megatron or Moss over Rice EASILY
Nick Wright's hero is the ShamWow guy.
If Tom Brady and Otto Graham aren't #1/2, Lawrence Taylor is #1.
Prime time should definitely be on the list but Tom Brady is the best we have ever seen. Sorry but that man has done it all.
Prime time was born with natural ability. Tom Brady was a guy that was not supposes to be in the NFL considering his size, his speed etc. The odds were stacked against this man. Look at how late he was taken in the draft. Then to overcome all of that and be the player he is now who has won all those rings and has been playing over 2 decades is much more incredible than anyone I have ever seen. Sorry but I
1. Jerry 2. Brady 3. LT
I'd would atleast say Tom Brady is Barley Change The Game.
Number 56 for the New York football Giants. And it's not even close.
Micheal Strahan?
Brady,,,Rice,,,Barry Sanders,,,Taylor Reggie White
Tom Brady is the greatest Qb of all time but the greatest football player of all time is dion sanders
Can somebody mute Nicks mic when others are talking ... the mumbling comments are annoying
I love how nick defend brady hahahahaha its too much fun to watch
Most important position and he’s the best to ever play QB so he’s the goat not hard to understand
Does a bear wearing the Pope's funny hat while taking a dump in the woods make a sound?
Nick actually knows football. Danggg
LT is the greatest player ever
Agreed.
TOM BRADY IS THE GREATEST FOOTBALL PLAYER OF ALL TIME.
We’re really still debating if TB is the goat? You could cut his career in half and he’d still be top 3 all time
And by Broussard standards Taysom Hill is the greatest qb of all time
Really ..no way for Jerry Rice
Y'all don't even mention Emmitt Smith
Is this really a question anymore?
Most accomplished should be his title
Lamar Jackson will be in this discussion within the next 3 years
It will take more than 3 years lol
To get in this discussion you need at least 10 years
Haha imagine actually typing this.
Will wait until Super bowl 59 for that one man.
Yeah idk what tf Chris talkin bout
They forget about Prime Time
Let me know the football player who did more than Deion?!....and has rings?!...Ill wait!..Prime is the BEST football player ever!!
Brady is the greatest athlete of all time and it’s not even close
Payton has a winning record against Brady in the playoffs so nicks assessment just falls apart right there (3-2) and two of the those wins were for the AFC Championship.
Commenting on Broussard's answer.. The Quarterback is the most important in football. Also didn't Jerry rice play in the era of no cap? If you take everything into account, Brady is the best ever. There are so many reasons but I don't want to write an essay
Montana made Rice
