99% of MC 101/707 videos bore me to the point of turning them off within the first 10 seconds. Others bore me to the point of fast-forwarding them in hopes of hearing something halfway decent which almost always fails. This totally captured and held my attention all the way to the end! Very nice job! You were born for this, my friend! Rock on! You've given me new inspiration to work with my MC 707! So glad you shared this!
The longer I watch this the more impressed I am, you are accessing functionality that I haven't even discovered yet and a lot of play/edit screens...granted I came very late to the groovebox game as I spent about 30+ years in guitar based music, but the MC101 has become my constant companion...I will keep my eyes out for any new MC101 goodness You post
Thank you for using this properly. Now I am 100% sure I want one. I'd put this stuff in the car or at least a Racing game btw! It has a strange drivey feel to it.
Glad i discovered your channel through that video ! Really impressive to achieve such a long and good jam in one single project ! The MC-101 is my favorite piece of gear. I use it totally differently (one full track per project with extensive song mode, automations,...) but your video show me the way to use it live ! Thank you !
ah glad to hear! I actually sold my 101 a year or so ago but I'm finding myself regretting having done so. and I've sold a LOT of gear and that's generally not the case. cheers
Great video my friend. There is a way to reset and recall the various parameters (a sort of Elektron reload pattern, to be clear), where whenever cutoff, resonance and effects are modified, for example, for a track or a clip, there is the possibility of " reload" the original saved pattern? Perhaps recalling the clip itself, I ask? But does it go back to the original parameters - effects level - or would it just recall the pattern? Thank you!
Great set, strong summer vibes! i would be interested in a quick breakdown of how you prepare such a set with the mc101. is it internal tones or samples? and do you have each track assigned to one "job" like bass etc.?
thank you! within this project I've got drums on track 1, bass t2, samples (chords and simple mel) t3, and extra synths on t4. Moving forward I might forgo sample (looper) track as there is limited RAM, 60 seconds I think?) and just have a dedicated chord track from the engine within. It's no prophet but there's lots of usable patches and some slight tweakability. fun machine for sure!
Oooh yeah one of the best mc-101 jams!
hey thanks!!

I’ve been thinking about an MC101 all month...and now Glo Phase is gonna show me how it’s done. You might’ve just helped make Roland money.
haha, awesome! have fun!
Yeps.
Good to hear your music again.
good to be heard! thanks for listening.
Man and machine. Excellent to witness a master at work. Great set. Dope tunes. I groove.
Many thanks, Jon!
Fantastic use of the 101! Love the vibes here!

hey thanks! I actually let go of the 101 about a year ago so can't entirely remember how that functions. cheers.

@@GloPhase thanks for taking the time 😊
nice.
thanks!
Neo Soul (or whatever soul)......just add misses Badu.
it's still one big track. is it possible to load different projects without pausing and play even?
unfortunately no, essentially 16 patterns per track per single project
