This is a beautiful track - such a lightness of touch, just the right balance of percussion, melody, bass, nothing crowding the other out. Really enjoyable, thanks for creating and sharing :)
This video is what pushed me over the edge on buying the MC-101. Can you please share the presets you used? I’ve been using Insurgent Soul as a way to learn the device, banging my head against the tones. If you’d prefer to share that info discretely, let me know. Thanks in advance!
Cool track :) I guess you set individual track gains so you can push the faders all the way up? I always find the drums need to be fully up and everything else about halfway...
Thank you! Yes, I set the mix level so it's right when the faders are full, so the faders are for bringing in and out tracks. Everything's quite low except the lead melody. That patch is quite quiet so I had to turn it right up.
I always bring the levels of each track to around 100 or less instead of 127 in my default template so I have room to adjust the mix up or down via the track settings depending on the sound used. I'd keep the faders on maximum always when composing, then use for performance only, like selective mutes or fade in/outs, not for mixing and mastering. This way if I come back to a project later, I won't have my levels way off because I nudged the faders or forgot the settings. They are also extremely useful for temporarily lowering the volume of other tracks like half way while trying to select or design a sound on another track to see how it fits in, rather than just on/off solos and mutes.
Awesome !!!❤️👌👌👌
This was such a cool tune! Time to dive back into my own MC-101 😊

Really nice use of the 101. Everything blends really well 👍🏻
Oooh man, that was spicy. What a joy to listen to!
Smooth man 👨
Yes, I saw 2 ads in the beginning, one is VCV drum modules, you must be popular , subbed. Nice beats.
Excellent track, good work!
Really nice work!
Lovely, Paul.
Well done
Really nice. I didn’t even know this thing existed.
Cheers. Maybe I should get commission from Roland! 😁
Lovely stuff.
Thank you!
Sounds fantastic! Great work on this. Wouldn't know without watching that it all came from one box. 🎧🍺
I think that's what makes this box quite inspiring. The limit of 4 tracks makes me want to squeeze as much as I can into each track.
@@paultdavies4418 is that 3 instruments and a drum chanel?
@@Two-Eyed_Boy yes, drums on channel 1.
@@paultdavies4418 is it possible to use 4 Instrument track instead of one drum track?
@@aaeon3203 It initialises with one drum and three tones, but you can delete the drum track and replace it with a tone so yes!

Buying this tomorrow
Hope you enjoy it!
Love it, samples or from the box?
Thank you. All straight out the box: built in drums and presets with a few tweaks.
Nice love the lead, has a RX-101 vibe
@@ZZZer00 nice spot, I'm a fan of RX-101!
