Actually very surprised to see you guys talking about SPT-AKI let alone having a modder on the pod, respect it.

Fontaine is hands down the best modder in SPT. The realism mod is integral to peak tarkov experience

Bsg probably took inspiration from some spt realism tweaks in 0.14, my first thought in the new update was "this really feels like spt" Amazing changes and they are carrying the game to a much better state, small improvements

Fontaine is the best thing that has happened to the SPT community and I'll fight anyone who says otherwise. His mod brings as many promised features as possible into the game, while BSG does nothing as they appear to have lost every last tiny shred of passion they might've had left.
Most modders are very humble and they'll not dare say some things, so I'll say it for them: They have completely trashed BSG in terms of skill, passion and development speed. The SPT modding community has implemented game mechanics from the ground up, they have improved the AI tenfold, they have overhauled the weapon customization far beyond BSG's wildest dreams, made true to life optics, NVGs and body hitzones. They improved the graphics and performance, they made a superb gore mod and last time I checked they even figured out how to make a level editor and SDK even though the source code for the game was never been leaked.
Tarkov, to a certain extend, has the potential to see the same modding potential as the Stalker series. The community has surpassed anything BSG could ever hope to add to the game.

True modders are way better than any gaming company, they have more passion otherwise they wont be spending hundreds of hours repairing and modifying games gaining nothing in return, modders are what make some games playable for decades and lack of modding killed numerous games

Fontaine makes anticheat mods for SPT so that people who play solo offline won't try to cheese SPT by preventing gear loss using Alt+F4 trick LOL! How pathetic and brain damaged do you have to be to cheat in a solo offline game? >That< is what fontaine and SPT caters to so its no surprise you would have such brain dead takes.
The only reason SPT mod makers can get away making these 'feature' mods is because they only have to make it for ONE game client that is OFFLINE. You're comparing a home cook to a military food service operation. A home cook doesn't have to worry about the logistics of feeding 10s of thousands of people under a strict schedule & a managed budget. So yes, a home cook has the luxury to craft better meals than a typical mess hall, but you'd have to be a simpleton to think they are comparable in terms of competency lol.
There's a reason why most of these modders are not picked up by financially backed commercial entities. Because their skills are nothing special. Tencent could buy up modders instead of game studios for pennies on the dollar if they were so amazing. But they're not spending billions on them are they? That's because there's more to game development than just importing skins or rehashing features from COD like THE HITMARKER MOD OR THE KILLSTREAK MOD FOR SPTARKOV!
How many impactful 'multiplayer' mods have we had since Counter-Strike 1.6? DayZ had to struggle for a decade to be playable. Notice there really isn't much else? Vast majority of mods are for offline. While these offline mod works that are being done for free can be appreciated, don't delude yourself into thinking that they are superior.

@@chadchallenge i dont even play SPT but i believe that if you buy a product you should be able to use it as you want encluding video games, do you ask the company you bought a car from if you can modify it? Let people do whatever they want if they want to use god mode in SPT let them be fuck it they are hurting no one why you have to get mad about it?

@@chadchallenge talking about modders, they do change games and most of them dont even program so the import assets from other games whats wrong with thar? Most of them dont have programming knowledgs thats why copmanies are not hiring them because they cant do much, when it comes to tarkov the devs are fucking dumb and has no experience and that shows in Arena its so bad its like none of them even played an arena shooter before, there are games made by less devs that have better aspects in their games ( audio,optimization,AI... etc) than BSG will ever will

    Hot take
Tarkov skills should all level at least 5 times faster. There's probably 4-5 skills that a heavy player can realistically even come close to maxing out. I feel like that's another avenue of progression that can satisfy players as they give more of their time to the game.

a very interesting topic of its own.

at around 21:00 when giga says why would one client need to know another's armor skill is because they change the damage you receive based on level. So it is probably used to calculate damage in some way

I use nades purely to open opportunity to close the gap, because with a nade it becomes the immediate threat if they're near the kill zone. Meaning you can practically do whatever you want, his scope will not be on you haha

Edit: just a general +1 for the hardcore gig

Tarkov needs moddable private servers. Takes some of the financial load off BSG so they dont need to slide down that MTX slope and created walled gardens that gatekeep cheaters out while allowing people to play the game they want to play.

There are not many helmets that could stop a full size rifle round in effective range. Getting shot is not healthy. As far as pen and dam, they had to have a quantifiable value to calculate on. I do like your take on the realism, physics is physics. Do thee good work

  • @berry_eft
    @berry_eft 6 месяцев назад

I don't understand why BSG can't see that a single player version of Tarkov is something that people want and would be willing to pay for. Just imagine the influx of money to BSG if they offered a single player version for sale and then sold a subscription to the tools needed to create mods. Then they wouldn't need to add these micro-transactions to the game.
I understand that Nikita has a vision for EFT and maybe he thinks SPT could detract form that vision. I just think that EFT and SPT don't have to to mutually exclusive, both can exist and both can be great.
TL;DR People will create the products they want if its unavailable, and BSG should see SPT as a opportunity to create more products and avenues to generate more income.
