I'd love to have more one-off stories but with the same explorer, now with the amulet! (So maybe not really a one-off hmmmm).

The effects on the trancing were so good, and he was such a gentleman. 11/10, would drink wine with again. And he didn't want the listener to see his true form, which hints at a tragedy we don't know.

Can I ask how you did the hypnosis voice?
Sure!
So first in the main voice; I took that whole sequence, upped the bass with a Bass Enhancer filter, and added a Chorus filter (I edit in Final Cut, effect may work differently in other NLEs), which gives the impression of multiple voices by having subtly different phasing in each ear. If you listen only with one speaker, it doesn't sound all that different. The effect also does some weird slight phasing. Both the left and right channels are also _slightly_ desynced from one another, so one plays slightly before the other; if you play it back in mono, it sounds weird because what you're hearing is two copies of the same voice playing back at slightly different timings. The main effect of this is to have those two voices split between the left and right speakers. In the collab with Jessie Love where Raban tries to hypnotise Bridgette, I also added a very slight reverb on top of all this.
Next is the whispering; the idea is that this is what Raban is thinking and which is subtly being broadcast to the listener. All I did was record two tracks in a whispering voice, and then split each of those into the left and right channels, so again if you only listen through on headphone you'll only hear the one whispering voice. These voices just had a cathedral reverb effect on top, which emphasises the sibilant sounds, I thought that sounded quite effective for subliminal suggestion. In edit I then made sure to time the whispering of "Be still..." and "Awaken!" with when the main voice says the same.
Finally, I faded out the background ambience of the fireplace, and faded in a very low-frequency rumble, a sort of 'deep underwater' kind of sound, to fill in the background and hopefully stop the voices sounding hollow.

Maybe something superhero themed? A coworker/roommate/person you met on the street or listener is a superhero/supervillian hiding their identity.
