Gus G is known as one of the greatest guitarists in the world and he isn't even the most talented guy in the band. Gotta love Firewind! FYI, the guy playing the keys and guitar at the same time is Bob Katsionis.
Yeah, I was bummed when Bob left.
I'd love more Firewind, this band is awesome. I'd recommend "SKG" or "The Forgotten Memory", both great tracks. Gus G is a monster guitar player and doesn't get enough credit.
I'm happy I got to see Firewind live this past year meet Gus G and get one of his guitar picks.
This song goes back to their 2003 album "Burning Earth." There's another Gus G solo song on the next album called "Feast of Savages" and is well worth it to check out. But it was around this time that I discovered Firewind. Great band. It appears they've gone thru a lot of lineup changes over the past several years, including vocalists, but they've been a great staple in the Power Metal community for nearly 20 years now.
Firewind is Fire . The Video of them Head Up High with Lord Travis and Princess Suzi Q is one of the all time preferred by me ihih . The new graphic is insane . Ciao Sir Jon and Lady Dolly have always good time ! The young guitarist of this video is one of the heroes of the Video i have referred to . He has soul in his playing for sure . The SoundZ he giveZ are highly technical but pure technic it ' Z not sufficient to express what he is able to express . Lady you are right Firewind is intense so they play with soul . 8'40" Beast moment Mate beast moment . Those passageZ on TomZ are very technical i think . Great exibition you feel the energy and the dedication
