One incredibly strong compliment, There are so many gorgeous ponds on this site , after all Aquascapes is the best of the best. One of the many reasons I took the first step to be coming a CAC. Pond builder
Truly talented, all the little details!Best obsession to have ❤😊 I Wish someone from Aquascape would help me become a contractor in my country.. my pond is in its final building phase and everyone already amazed,
I am happy this got choosen, as when I first watched this pond video, I said to myself I want to build something like this. Congrates to the ownner. Great job. I love his pond, I love Gregs Job, I love watching pond builds :-)
@@ScottJanko when I get my peice of land, I will surly be doing that too (Maybe with a digger though) , using all the knowledge learnt from watching all Aquascape videos.
I was able to see Scotts pond through a garden pond forum, that we both are in. Along with his written details of how it all came together. It is so beautiful. I think it is the most natural looking water feature I have ever seen. His edge work is phenomenal. You have better chance at winning powerball, than being able to tell where the liner's edges are. I also live in Connecticut, had a water feature spark go off, discovered Aquascape , watched a ton of their videos, and learned how to build my own pond. Scott's given me some valuable tips too, through the forum. And, if in 6 years if I can have 1/10th of the beautiful water feature Scott has, I would eternally be pleased!! I hope to see it in person one day this upcoming summer season. Derek Drezek. Suffield, Ct.
Scott, yes. I am up near Springfield, Ma. I'm in Suffield, CT. I border The Massachusetts line. I originally posted on the forum a question on whether or not I needed a wetland filter for my pond set up. Then, the conversation kinda went off onto other topics. With some of the other members in the group. I'm Derek Drezek. Same name as I use in the GPF group. You trully do have a beautiful feature there. Been fairly mild winter so far. Your tropical Lillys, just may make it into a third year!! I did steal an idea of yours,... I planted a weeping red bud next to my pond. I think yours looks nice. I did that back around the time, Greg had posted about your pond on Facebook. Hope your New Year is off to a great start Scott. Derek.
Such a beautiful pond, a well deserved award. I along with many other viewers also watch all the videos for inspiration to planning and building a diy pond, although mine will be a low budget aquascape inspired pond - hey, we aint all rich!
@@ScottJanko I know what you mean, amazing stress reliever, but unfortunately the partner still needs a holiday - the British weather is not enough for a South African, so we still have the need to go abroad every year - not quite as big a financial outlay as you suggested, but still around 3-4k, add to that i had to leave my job due to health reasons means everything is on a budget now, but this doesn't mean we cant have nice things, we just have to achieve them in more ingenious budget friendly ways. As long as you spend where it needs to be spent on the pond - such as high quality liner and underlay, it doesn't need to have stacked slate or spillway bowls or expensive pumps, I'm all for upcycling old bowls and Vases to achieve a similar look, marketplace purchases, drainage piping and crates etc. Anyway, your pond is amazing and far better than a lot of "professional" installations i have seen. Do you ever swim in there? i know i would get the snorkel on👍
@@stuartchristie64 Yes i am constantly in the pond thank god i saw one of the pro builds out there about water in motion and i built a 3000 gallon cistern as i am not a small guy and i do displace a good deal of water
Never imagined when i was building my pond that i was creating something that would inspire someone in Australia to build a pond. Glad you liked it and i appreciate the compliment
Great job, Scott! I heard you are coming to the Academy in February. I am excited to see where this takes you. I've done construction, welding/Fab, automotive, and industrial painting, as well as being a Registered Nurse, and this has been by far the best career move of my life. I just finished my first building season and couldn't be happier with my career change. The Aquascape Tribe is Amazing. I encourage you to attend as many training and regional builds as possible and dive in head first. Good luck, and again, great job!
What a beautiful pond. I cannot imagine the hours and hours of work that went into that, in addition to the sore muscles and aching back from all of the shoveling and lifting. In the end, he has really created a masterpiece pond. Quite the lifestyle!
Congratulations, Scott. Just like you, I'm also watching their videos. Bissy, with my own pond and the worst part of it, we don't have any aquascape products here in South Africa. Thanks, Greg, for all the videos they really inspire me. I can't have enough of it to help me with my pond. Keep up with your great job.
Awesome pond! Had to slow it down, which made it a bit weird, but the video was too fast and jerky to enable us to really see it. We are looking to rework our pond a bit, so we were excited to get some ideas.
Greg, can you hook me up with Scott ? Would he go to Massachusetts? I have a nice Koi poem but not as nice as I wanna know if you come here as a project thank you.
DUDE I I LIVE 30MIN FROM THIS GUY!!! THATS INSANE HIS POND IS BEAUTIFUL!!! ALSO GREG WAS 30MIN FROM MY HOUSE WTFFFF

I have found that for Koi or goldfish control what works good is to put a couple of bluegill in the pond. They love to eat the fry!

Looks like lavender twist weeping redbud... Should sneak in a Japanese maple somewhere
Also not a weeping pine that is a cedrus Atlantica...
OMG !! That is just absolutely a work of pure art, what cant you say about it 😍😍😍😍👌
Thank you @ATGCAIN
Why don't you have this beautiful creation in the PHILIPPINES or SEA???
The more you look, the better it gets.
The longer you look the more it evolves, a terrible endless cycle one i can gladly live with.

I love the content with these videos but why the jerky editing style I don’t know what you would call it. It’s rediculous.
It’s called jump cuts and it’s definitely popular and helps the video performance. Sorry it’s not your favorite
