Afraid of Being Touched in Surgery?

- Some of my patients have heard horror stories of being inappropriately touched under anesthesia during surgery. These are terrible, but also very rare.
During surgery, the operating room has many personnel. The anesthesiologist, surgeon, scrub tech, OR nurse, and any device reps or neuromonitoring specialty services. If something inappropriate happens, many will see it, and we are obligated to report.
The time things DO happen down there is when the surgery is supposed to be down there, like surgeries related to gynecology, urinary, kidney, or other issues.
I think we can all agree this is the #1 reason we all hate going to the doctors😂😂
Or unless you have a catheter inserted!

Once, we did a circumcision on a 30 year old man. He was so nervous we had to give him sedative. Anyway in the recovery room he started rambling and mentioning my name saying that I have "imprinted" his weiner and he'll come looking for me later. I can't help feeling like I molested him and all I did was holding the two ends of forceps to stabilise the skin while his MALE surgeon 'manhandled' it. 😂😂😂

what happened i was ready to go in for the surgery, he said it would only take 40 minutes to amputate my foot, i jumped of the bed and crutched out of the hospital, i chickened out

Why do some people have such a harder time waking up than others? I never really came out of anesthesia after surgery even in the OR and PACU. At my age it is not a normal thing to happen, yet they still don’t know what happened
Nobody knows why some people take longer to wake up than others! A lot of anesthesia is still a bit of a mystery. For instance: it has been studied and proved that redheads usually require more anesthesia than other hair colors! Nobody knows why!
could be related to the way your body metabolises the drugs. Go have your CYP 450 enzymes tested
@@snafu22 they sent labs to be tested so hopefully they’ll be checking into that. They are thinking it might be metabolism stuff because of how bad my reaction was. Not 100% sure yet though. Thank you for the helpful recommendation :)
@@justacouplapaninis4986 redheads have a gene that causes the metabolism of many anesthesia drugs to increase. Therefore the demands are higher.
Not necessarily true. It's not uncommon for doctors to do unrelated pelvic/anal exams on women for teaching purposes and don't even inform them. This is a documented practice.
