Godzilla looks like a bad guy because this is from the perspective of Kong and the humans transporting him. When it switches to Millie Bobby Brown and her team, it is fron Godzilla's perspective. This movie is in dual pov. In the end, it all becomes clear when they team up.

I can just picture Kevin from The Office saying “It’s Godzilla versus Kong and it is the clash of the titans! In one corner you have Godzilla and he is mad and then in the other corner you have Kong and he’s mad! So that’s about it.”
He essentially does that in Hong Kong. In this scene Kong has his hands full just surviving. The sea is Godzilla's home field. Nothing can match him there.
Lol😂 But seriously now-i don't think he covered his ears just from noise. It was also an attempt to cover his head like humans do when there's a middle launch on us or something similar, and then he was like "HEY, WATCH IT"
One thing i really admired about kong is even with lack of experience with fighting experience titans including a apex titan kong was really smart about his engagements.
@Adrian Pena those skull crawlers were really small. What makes you think he was dying to those? He's been doing it for years. And he finds and kills em before they could even grow.
@Adrian Pena the biggest skull crawler we saw was about kongs size, Kong was still growing. But now that kongs all grown up, those things are nothing but juevaniles to him
0:30 I don't know why, but seeing Kong protecting his ears from cannon sound is making me sad. These animals are really tormented, I'm glad these ones are big enough to make human scared
Just guessing but if you scale his roar it to his size it would probably be in the 180+ decibel range and if that doesn't hurt his ears then cannons probably wouldn't either. Just something to consider as Kong is supposed to be what 300 feet tall. Everything would need to scale including his vocal chords and lung capacity. Whales can hit 180 decibels so I'm sure if a creature that size existed it would be equal or greater.
3:00 I know a lot of fans were disappointed with the soundtrack, but I personally liked this part when they clash for the first time. It just sells it for me somehow
Actually no. Godzilla and the other titans feed and absorb radiation in the Monsterverse. Now getting hit with atomic breath, sure, but then again if you're that close to it then it doesn't matter cause you're dust
Absolutely love the intro to this scene with kong without seeing Godzilla knows there is a threat in the water and wants to be free to defend himself. He knows the humans transporting him are panicking thus blasting missiles straight past him! Can’t help but feel sorry for Kong in this first battle
This scene was so perfectly executed, the visuals from the sunset and water droplets on the screen later in the fight just took it to the next level. Best part of the movie in my opinion. Nothing short of a masterpiece.
Honestly I felt rather annoyed when Nathan said “We lose Kong, the mission is over”, when he could clearly see Kong was trying to free himself from those chains since Godzilla was coming. if I were on board that ship, I would have let Kong out of those chains immediately.
This movie goes so hard visually. Likke the tracking shot on Godzilla's fins as he breaches the surface and breaks the boat at 0:48, or how his tail at 1:10 looking like a tentacle sticking out of the water.
It's not stop motion. The men in suits were amazing! If they don't win an Oscar I must revolt. And the models, the set...all perfectly done by the special effects team who had to meticulously build each carrier and destroyer by hand. Epic.
The science lady and the science guy also worry too because the lady has been Kong's caretaker for 10 years. The science guy is the real MVP for releasing him from the chained and they keep calling him as the coward.
I'm a Godzilla fan, but even I felt bad for Kong when he let out those two distinctive cries of desperation to be freed. Broke my heart, and a small part of me was rooting for him just to survive. Godzilla was a beast in this movie, and had he'd been at 100% full strength, he'd of crushed Mechagodzilla without Kong's aide.
As a godzilla fan , godzilla cannot beat mecha at his 100% . what director said is if godzilla were not exhausted so much from the fight with kong . Godzilla could've put up a tough fight

I didn't like the fact the battle happened at sea. Too heavily favors Godzilla. If only they could have made it so there was an island nearby or something. That would have been a more favorable site and would have been a cool callback to the earlier Godzilla films.

I wish kong did a monke flip off of the carrier and onto Godzilla’s back
You know their doing a sequel.maybe ask them?
What about dorsal plates on the back of Godzilla
@Godzilla yeahhhhh I call it the monke flip
I would have given it two thumbs up 👍👍
He essentially does that in Hong Kong. In this scene Kong has his hands full just surviving. The sea is Godzilla's home field. Nothing can match him there.
This scene is a masterpiece!
Godzilla stole the show in this scene. His legacy of atomic terror has returned.
Kong: Guys, the noise! Really!?
"We're protecting you!"
Kong: From what? My love of having perfect hearing!?
LOL😂
Lol😂
But seriously now-i don't think he covered his ears just from noise. It was also an attempt to cover his head like humans do when there's a middle launch on us or something similar, and then he was like "HEY, WATCH IT"
This scene was excellently well done. Perfect action and tense to the bone!
Godzilla: OK TIME FOR A DRAMATIC ENTRANCE
i don’t care who won King Kong will forever be the superior movie monster
One thing i really admired about kong is even with lack of experience with fighting experience titans including a apex titan kong was really smart about his engagements.

Millions of years of fighting and instinctual DNA passed down
It’s called innate behavior.
He already killed one in his movie.
I feel so sad about Kong it's having a happy life in skull Island and then humans came
@Adrian Pena those skull crawlers were really small. What makes you think he was dying to those? He's been doing it for years. And he finds and kills em before they could even grow.
The life filled paradise of Skull Island was gone by the time he got taken out. The storm around it consumed the island
In that island he was dying
@Adrian Pena how do you even know there was a nest in the other side?
@Adrian Pena the biggest skull crawler we saw was about kongs size, Kong was still growing. But now that kongs all grown up, those things are nothing but juevaniles to him
0:30
I don't know why, but seeing Kong protecting his ears from cannon sound is making me sad. These animals are really tormented, I'm glad these ones are big enough to make human scared
I know! Kong is so similar to a human.
And that they aren't real...
Snowflakes everywhere
It was interesting to see him react to the loud cannons, but sad? I think that's abit of an overreaction
3:01
Whoever made that score needs a raise
That would be Tom Holkenborg
3:00 I know a lot of fans were disappointed with the soundtrack, but I personally liked this part when they clash for the first time. It just sells it for me somehow
Iovdd the soundtrack! I liked that they balanced Kongs 60's rock vibe with Godzilla's iconic theme lol

Imagine starting hearing
"Life could be a dreeam"
If I can take you to a paradise above

Everyone who survived, now has cancer due to Godzilla's radioactivity
That or from the Gman heating up the ocean and causing an increase in global warning
Actually no. Godzilla and the other titans feed and absorb radiation in the Monsterverse. Now getting hit with atomic breath, sure, but then again if you're that close to it then it doesn't matter cause you're dust
This scene was excellently well done. Perfect action and tense to the bone!

0:40 ZAMN!! THAT SONG START THO! absolute chills, elite!

The men in suits were amazing! If they don't win an Oscar I must revolt.
And the models, the set...all perfectly done by the special effects team who had to meticulously build each carrier and destroyer by hand. Epic.

As a Godzilla fan, I feel you too.
As a Godzilla fan, I to have some interest in Kong
As a godzilla fan , godzilla cannot beat mecha at his 100% . what director said is if godzilla were not exhausted so much from the fight with kong . Godzilla could've put up a tough fight
Both kong and godzilla can crush mecha if they weren’t worned out i think
MechaGodzilla beats Godzilla. Even if he was at 100%.

I didn't like the fact the battle happened at sea. Too heavily favors Godzilla. If only they could have made it so there was an island nearby or something. That would have been a more favorable site and would have been a cool callback to the earlier Godzilla films.
