A sound guy's rant: 1. RUclips transcodes all audio for streaming to lossy codecs like AAC, so the only way to listen to this in intended quality is to download the lossless file and play that back. The video streaming is lossy. ALWAYS. 2. 22kHz - that's roughly the Nyquist frequency of 44.1kHz sampling rate - which is the sampling rate on CD-Audio discs. Humans can at most hear 20 kHz so 44.1 khz sampling rate is already an overkill, as it allows to transmit sounds up to 22.5 kHz in frequency. Anyway - I love this track!
seeing the type of content i do i hoped you'd assume that i know this, but anyway only the dl is lossless, the youtube audio currently is the neato 20 khz opus codec which is pretty nice but the real deal is in the download. i named 22 khz because as a spek / daw user to check quality, that's how far the sound's detail goes in the frequency range, which matters much more than sampling rate, when determining quality loss (i did so bc i know many of my followers are spek users as well). i mean sampling rate matters too but that usually doesnt change unless someone uploaded a 48 000 for some silly reason before it got to me
