- Waring's Pennsylvanians perform the song "The Dance Of The Blue Danube" with Tom Waring singing. I'm not sure who came up with the idea to "jazz-ify" Johann Strauss' Blue Danube Waltz, but whoever it was must have been onto something because this is a lovely tune! The lyrics are pretty fun to sing as well.

Listen to the Danube, Blue Danube
When I hear the Danube, Blue Danube
I see those dark-eyed Viennese
Dancing into my memories
Melody composed for a Venus
It’s an inspiration of genius
I can dance from San Francisco to Maine
Just to hear the Danube again.
I absolutely love this song…one of my faves from the late ‘20s…the Pennsylvanians were one of the very best dance bands.
Recorded on March 8, 1928.
Nice to see this channel is still doing stuff. Great transfers of amazing music.
@@CPorter Thanks. Mostly been getting sidetracked with other stuff. Comin back into the swing of things though, so stay tuned! (Also, great uploads of Will Osborne's stuff).
@@themac6356 Thank you, there's gonna be more in the future, as always.
