This keyboard does not use Cherry MX keyswitches. You will have a hard tome changing out the keycaps because the stabilizers are not standard. Please correct this
Guys I’ve made a mistake in my video in regards to the types of switches the keyboard uses, the keyboard actually uses Kailh's new low-profile Choc V2 switches. Sorry about this, and thank you to Alex for pointing it out!
@@syawkcab I found the space grey keycaps show fingerprint smudges very easily. I wonder if the white version is better. Logitech not providing any other options for keycaps given the stabilizer format is unfortunate.
Used it for few days. My main complaints: 1) stock keycaps are too damn slippery to type on 2) inconsistent backlighting time out. 3) proximity sensor is buggy
Unfortunately yes, it has really become a problem on the latest macOS. During the time of this review I was getting no Bluetooth problems but now I’m getting so much! I hope whatever problems are happening, they can fix 😟

can you lock the F keys? i have another logitech keyboard similar to this and it bugs me to no end that i lost F1 - F3 to switching bluetooth. i can use fn to get the normal functions back but it should be the other way around. i need these key way more often than i need to switch devices. in fact i lost all my F key because they are all now mapped to media player key and function i never use like the browser home button. who uses a browser home button. you just click new tab, having a keyboard key dedicated to just opening a new tab is the most useless thing i have seen on a keyboard.
7:16 This is the exact problem I'm having with my ROG Falchion and I've been dealing with it for a long time. It's the reason I'm watching your video and window shopping for a new keyboard. The only difference is my ROG can't fall back to a Bluetooth mode because there isn't one.
Unfortunately since the keyboard has custom STABS, finding replacement keycaps for the keyboard is very difficult. I was incorrect in my review where I alluded to it would be easy to replace. I've read up on this a little and it seems people have found that keycaps that work with the Nuphy 75 would work on this keyboard but some keys would be excluded. I hope this starting point will help!
thank you @@sideoftech for your answer. i anyway got my mx mech. keyboard yesterday and i should say i am pretty happy. as well as customisation isn't given as thought.
No problem, with dongle for me. No fingerprint issues. Love the keyboard. My first one did have a dead key after about a month which Logitech replaced with no issue.
CON: I stopped using my MX Mini because the keys are EXTREMELY sensitive. If your finger just barely nicks the surrounding keys, the lightest possible touch, and it's a press resulting in many typos..........but there's always that chance that my fingers are too fat????
Put some lube on the stabs and you’ll be much happier! I put some Krytox 206g2 on the space bar, shift, and enter stabs and it’s made a huge difference!
You can assign different macros in the software, this could possibly include print screen. Most likely one of the function row buttons can be assigned this 😄
Not a specific mouse needed but this goes well with the MX Master 3S since they can both utilize the Logi Bolt connection using 1 dongle instead of 2 👍🏼
btw if you buy this keyboard, im guessing you might travel with it. If u travel a lot consider either the MX Master 2S or the MX anywhere 3S for their smaller size.
i have installed options+, window 10, after I wake up my window 10 by pressing ctrl+alt+del and input password to unlock the screen, my MX Mechanical Full size keyboard will non-stop input "del" instruction. Do you have the same problem? If i assign "volumn up" function to the "Del" key, in the same situation, my keyboard will non-stop input "voulme up" instruction.....
Hmmm this sounds like one of your switches is faulty? Any way to return and get a replacement? You can also get a duster and blow some air into the switch, could be some dust build up. I hope this helps, Lemme know!
Good video. I've been rocking the mini for about two months now. I pull it out over my Higround Snow Keyboard or Iqunix F97 when I have serious work to do. I would leave it out but the key caps aren't nice to look at.
I love the keyboard, but with my example, I am having issues with AirPods Pro interference, and if I use the USB adapter then my Apple Magic Mouse has interference, only ever had this issue since getting this keyboard.
If you do some gaming on your PC as well as productivity activities then I can recommend the 915 tkl, this is actually my main gaming keyboard but it can handle all kinds of productivity tasks just like this one as well, it’s just a bit bigger. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the clip and clear reviews. Have used K2 and sold it cause of the battery issue. Switch to use the Apple Magic ID KB and love the ID but still missing the ASMR typing feel on K2. Have an eye on the MX Mechannical mini but still hesitating cause the surplus of other one KB and still need very much the ID. Haizzz! Might still stay with the Magic as less typing than ID using. 😃🙃
Exactly what happened to me! Super choppy within the first hour. Logitech bolt receiver does not work for me and my desktop doesn't have bluetooth. Been using the MX Keys 100% keyboard for over a year without issue. They just had to go and mess with what works. Even the MX Keys mini uses the new receiver so that's out for me as well. Returning the MX Mechanical and sticking with the tried and true.
Dang that’s unfortunate. Seems like they must have had some faulty parts go out since EVERYONE keeps telling me they have this problem. Thanks for watching! 😁
I own this keyboard, it has many flows, starting with the tactile quiet switches (The only choice for mac version) which sounds good but feels really bad. Then the problem with the randomly lighting backlight and then to the buggy software. I am not sure if this is the case for windows users as well, but this is totally not worth the price for this bad experience in my opinion.
Nothing much better than 20$ keyboard, especially if you prefer cable over wireless bs. 20$ redragon with brown and some added pbt keycaps, foaming... thanks god on these reviews, I almost bought this overpriced item.
it's up to your personal preference. I bought the mx mechanical mini and returned it because I hated the long travel distance, it felt exhausting to type on. I ended up ordering the mx keys instead and I'm liking it so far.

Aww dang that sucks! I hope you picked something up that you like instead 👌🏼
How would you compare it to the Apple Magic Keyboard?
I hate how fast it times out So much I’m thinking about sending it back. You would think the logi app would allow a timer setting. Give me the option!

It could be that cus mine are fat and I bump into other keys all the time 😅
I fixed lag on mine by using a USB extension so that the devices have a direct line of sight with the receiver
Nice! Sucks that we have to do this but it is what it is 👌🏼

The wrist rest, could you link us to it? (It was showcased under the MX Master 3)
I went ahead and left a link for ya in the descrpition 😀
Where did you get that headphone stand?
Does anyone who has wrist pain use this and if so what’s your experience.
Does the Mac version come with the little usb connector? I just bought it brand new and there was no usb connector in the box.
The Mac version does not come with a usb dongle, it’s Bluetooth only!
@@sideoftech Thanks answering the question. I bought the mac version & there was no USB connector.
I really think this would be a great keyboard for me, but for my work I use the Print screen key a lot: is there a way to get around this?
You can assign different macros in the software, this could possibly include print screen. Most likely one of the function row buttons can be assigned this 😄
Great video, review, audio, and editing!
Thank you for your kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed 😄

the keyboard works without having to use the "plug"?
Absolutely, just have to use Bluetooth 😁👌🏼
I love the keyboard, but with my example, I am having issues with AirPods Pro interference, and if I use the USB adapter then my Apple Magic Mouse has interference, only ever had this issue since getting this keyboard.

Does the bolt usb works with any logitech mouse ?
Only the more recent ones. Should have the logi bolt logo on the product pages on their website 👍🏼
Does the device switching apply to the mouse as well?
Yes! I did a review on the MX Master 3 that goes over it more in detail if you’re interested 🤗

how many connections Bluetooth is possible?
Hello! 3 connections to swap between.

Thank you! I’ll be honest with you I am not sure on the song name, all I know is I got it off epidemic sound 😇
@@sideoftech Haha fair enough. It gives off some strong 80's vibe, love the theme!
I bought my mac version earlier today. I'll have to go back & buy a connector with a female USB-C on one end & a female USB-A on the other end.
You can always return it and get the original one, that one comes with a USB receiver! 😁
