When your warehouse employees have to pee in A bottle to not get dinged for going to the bathroom more than once a shift, you know you work for a slave driver.
Slaves don’t sign a contract and get payed a wage. I don’t agree with a lot of their practices but that’s just silly.

My take on this subject is that it really isn't "balance" rather management. One needs to find away to manage time when they need to focus on either their job life or personal life.

Word salad, you always need time to reset in the evening. I used to and still go balls out and it gets you , makes you less productive and can be dangerous. If discipline myself to shutoff, I get more done in that week.

you don’t need to be rich to know the meaning of REAL hard work. I worked for Amazon. The warehouse employees worked far harder then anyone in corporate including the execs. There’s nothing to debate.
