    Thank you. For about 10 years I've had a problem with bright lights and driving at night. Now I'm starting to show signs of glaucoma.

    Thank you SO much for this. I have always wondered what else I could do holistically to help prevent the progression of my glaucoma. I cannot thank you enough. Also, I like that these were broken up into short videos based on subject. Sincerely wishing you all the best, Kathy from North Carolina

    Thank you for this episode, Dr Richardson. My personal experience at the moment is that I find driving at night very glaring these days whenever I passed an oncoming vehicle with the newer LED headlights. No doubt these LED lights may be beneficial to the owners of the vehicles as they can see further and clearer (than those with halogen bulbs) but to other drivers, they can be potential hazards. I am not sure if people with normal vision (without glaucoma) find the LED headlights disturbing?

    • @truthjunkie3
      @truthjunkie3 5 лет назад +3

      Agreed. New bright LED headlights are piercing and painful to look at. The old dim yellow lights seem fine.

    • @macgabhann1108
      @macgabhann1108 5 лет назад +4

      so true I can not stand the new LED headlights.

    • @eyemdla
      @eyemdla 5 лет назад +2

      Yes, the LED and halogen headlights can be bothersome to anyone but tend to be even more of an issue for those with cataracts and/or glaucoma.

      Rutin combined with Coleus may have an IOP lowering benefit. I've written about that here: new-glaucoma-treatments.com/rutin-may-have-a-role-in-the-treatment-of-glaucoma/

Dr. Can please give advise on weight lifting and aerobic exercises when dealing with glaucoma? I love to lift weights and aerobics exercises but I’m not sure how exercising could affect my condition. Again, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.

I now do 3 minutes in the morning and 2 minutes at night. I sit on the edge of the bed and swing the light towards me with my eyes closed. I put it close to my closed eyes and count out the minutes. Hello Victoria. My apologies if I have offended. As I mentioned in my earlier videos I simply do not have the time to record these videos at any other time of my busy clinical day, so I had the choice of recording them on my commute or not at all. My sense has been that the information I've shared has been of value to others and in a format that is not readily available. I am hopeful that the balance of this effort is positive as my intentions are to benefit others and in no way did I mean to appear insensitive to the limitations many with glaucoma face in their day to day activities.
